EA Access has brought to light some additional missing aspects of NHL 15:
Yeah missing GM Connected had dampened my interest in this game, and I haven't even downloaded the demo yet, but I'll get on the XB1 and download the game through Access tonight.

Shit. I knew there was a lot missing but not THAT much missing. I think I may pass on NHL this year now.

That last is mostly shit that I could care less about. I am going to miss GMC but I'm skeptical about the other couple of things that matter me.
Can't draft a player in BAGM? Maybe it's an auto-draft. I'm fine with that if it means they are re-working the shitty scouting from before.
Can't edit a player? I doubt it. If so, that sticks but not a huge deal to me.
I don't know exactly what he means about the AI. You can customize your AI in the demo.
The rest is meaningless (did he really think NHL 94 would be in on its 21st Anniversary).

I already knew about GMC, but everything added up just makes the game a shell for me. No GMC, no Be a Pro, no Shootout, no Winter Classic, No Battle for the Cup, no editing teams or players, no drafting players in Be a GM, etc. On their own, they don't seem as big a deal, but all of them together and added up, why the hell would I spend $60 for a fraction of a game compared to what I've got with last year's game?

From what I can tell, Be a Pro is in (probably as dry and shitty as ever). What he is saying is that you have to create a player for it rather than use a real NHL or CHL player.
Winter Classic is cool for about 10 seconds. Shootout? Like the rest, lame.

I hesitated to share that list given that the user seemed pretty negative (and ignored OTP being patched in at some point), but I thought he was valid in listing what last-gen features did not make the cut - especially since EA has not been very forthcoming in doing so.
A small thing, but I have read that the 3-stars are not given out at the end of games either. Losing features from last- to next-gen is somewhat understandable, but given the fact there was the implication they held off on a game last year to focus on this year and the lack of direct info/communication - I completely get why people are (rightfully) upset. Though, hopefully the gameplay, visuals, and features that did get in can still put together a good game.
The entire list compiled by OS of missing features from the PS3 version to the PS4 version.
This was a 100% purchase for me. The stuff missing from GM Mode/Be A Pro means I will pass on this game. No preseason? Automated draft? No playing your AHL schedule? I am really shocked with how much has been removed. The PS4 version of this game had a two year development cycle. What exactly was done with that time?Modes/Features
•No GM Connected
•No Online Team Play (when this is patched into the game later this year, it will use real NHL players and teams)
•No EA Sports Hockey League
•No EA Sports Arena
•No Online Shootouts
•No Live the Life
•No Be A Legend
•No Winter Classic
•No tournaments or Battle for the Cup
•No season mode (you can only play seasons in Be A GM, which is limited to NHL teams)
•No NHL 94 Anniversary mode
•No custom music support
•No create-a-play designer
•Cannot customize each team's AI
•No create-a-team
•No way to edit individual players
•Practice mode is now limited to one skater vs. an AI goalie
Gameplay
•No custom camera option
•No Action Tracker replay highlights
•No Top 3 Stars at the end of games.
Be A GM
•Yearly draft is fully automated by the CPU
•Cannot play the AHL games for your chosen franchise
•Players sent down to the minors do not accumulate any season stats
•No fantasy draft option
•No preseason games
Be A Pro
•No option to sim ahead to the next shift
•You only play in the NHL; you cannot play for minor league teams
•The Memorial Cup tryout period is gone. You now begin by picking an NHL team, or by letting a random CPU team draft you.
•No All-Star game
Ultimate Team
•Cannot play against your friends
•No tournaments
•No mobile app
All of the above features were available last year in NHL 14 for the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 but appear to be missing this year on the new-generation of consoles.
Jesus Christ, it's even worse than I thought. It's definitely a pass now. A list that long of missing features is just sad.

Apparently the NHL team is going to patch in the ability for users to select players during the draft... just reading that sounds crazy. What was EA thinking?
For anyone interested, I will be streaming NHL 15 tomorrow night at 11:00 PM Central which is when the preload becomes playable.
My first game will be Red Wings at Penguins.

Less than an hour to release. I will be streaming on Twitch.

Bad news.
The game crashed to the "Report a problem to Sony" screen just as I finished my first game.
The gameplay was pretty damn good though, considering how little I changed in the sliders.
Hopefully the crash was an isolated incident or it is amended very soon. We'll see.

Going to do anymore streaming? Would love to see some Canucks vs. Canadiens if you get the chance at some point.
