Excuse my ignorance gentlemen as I haven't played Madden since the McNabb edition. Can you not create your own coach with custom playbooks/styles in Madden like in NCAA?

You can, but on defense, you have to define your scheme (4-3 or 3-4) which weighs player ratings differently (ex. a DE in 3-4 will be different in 4-3). I know the little bit I messed with it in Madden 25 was a headache... not sure what it's like this year.

There are individual scheme changes for each position

So even though your scheme for the coach may be a 4-3. Within the scheme you can change what type of DE you want fro the scheme (i.e 4-3 Run stopper, 4-3 Pass rusher, 3-4 DE, 3-4 Versatile, etc)

Same goes for LB's (pass rusher, run stopper, 3-4 tackler, etc and so on

This in turn will change their rating and better show their rating

LOLOL I'm really leaning towards the Phins just to battle Oneback and G twice a year, but we have so many AFC teams I feel I should probably go NFC
