Chelsea lose for the first time in 24 matches today, 2-1 to Newcastle. Their lead could be cut to 3 points, should City get a win today.

Liverpool crashed out of the Champions League today but did manage to finish 3rd in their group so they'll continue in the Europa League.

Arsenal actually got out of their group, finishing second.

Tomorrow, Chelsea and Manchester City will play their final group stage matches. Chelsea have already won their group and are through to the Round of 16.

City are in a precarious spot, being one of three clubs with 5 points in the group. One will advance, one will join the Europa League Round of 32 and one will be booted from European competitions. With Sergio Aguero expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a knee injury, it could be another European disaster for the Sky Blues.

Three English clubs to the Round of 16 in the Champions League. That's a good thing. Chelsea were through, before their 3-1 win over Sporting but City is through with a 2-0 win over Roma.

The draw for the Round of 16 in the Champions League is done.

PSG vs Chelsea: Chelsea eliminated PSG on Road Goals in last year's Quarter Finals. David Luiz, who won the European Cup with Chelsea in 2012, left Stamford Bridge last Summer and will face his old club.

Manchester City vs Barcelona: Barcelona eliminated City in the Round of 16 last year.

Bayer Leverkusen 04 vs Atletico Madrid: Drew twice in the 2010-11 Europa League Group Stage.

Juventus vs Borussia Dortmund: Juventus beat Dortmund in the 1993 UEFA Cup Final, Dortmund beat Juventus in the 1997 UEFA Champions League Final.

FC Schalke 04 vs Real Madrid: Real Madrid eliminated Schalke in last year's Round of 16.

FC Shakhtar Donetsk vs Bayer Munich: The Ukrainians and the Germans have never played each other.

Arsenal vs AS Monaco: They've never met but Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was the manager at Monaco from 1987-1994.

FC Basel vs FC Porto: They have also never met before.

Clearly, Arsenal got the best draw of the 3 English clubs. That said, they're no lock to advance. City is screwed again, Barcelona will take them down, I believe. Chelsea got the worst draw that they could have (Basel, Shakhtar, Juventus and Leverkusen were the other possibilities).

Chelsea is currently finishing off Derby County, leading 3-1 in the 85th minute, in the Quarters of the Capital One Cup. The draw for the Semis is tomorrow, after the other Quarter matches conclude.

Chelsea has stumbled of late and were manhandled by the shit from Spurs today, losing 5-2.

The loss has allowed Manchester City to pull level with the Blues and they have exactly the same record with the same number of goals and goals conceded.

Chelsea needs to quit dropping points or they'll be looking up at City.

    C'mon you Blues!

Ahead of Tuesday's Capital One Cup Semi Final at Anfield, Chelsea are doling out punishment, leading Swans 4-0 at half time. Diego Costa and Oscar reach scored a first half brace for the Blues.

Yesterday's 5-0 demolition of Swansea put Chelsea 5 points clear of Manchester City. City were 2-0 losers today against Arsenal, keeping Chelsea's lead at 5 points.

Chelsea and Tottenham play at 10 AM Central on BeIn Sports in the Capital One Cup Final from Wembley Stadium.

Chelsea were 5-3 losers at White Hart Lane on New Year's Day and they struggle tremendously when Nemanja Matic is out of the lineup since he joined the club in January 2014. I hope to see Ramires take Matic's spot in the midfield, rather than Mikel. I have little faith in Mikel.

It will be a chance for the current league leaders to lift a trophy for the first time since winning the UEFA Europa League in May 2013. At that time the Blues, though for just over a week, became the first ever current holders of both major European trophies (Champions League and Europa League). It would also be manager Jose Mourinho's first silverware since returning to Stamford Bridge last season.

On a side note, my buddy who has the badass bar in his house (you may remember the pictures I posted a few years ago) is in London to watch the match. Being that it is currently 11:22 AM over there, I'm sure he is flying high at some pub.

A big result at Anfield for Chelsea this morning as Liverpool were 2-1 winners over Manchester City. Chelsea maintains their 5 point lead over the defending champions and now have a game in hand.

With goals from John Terry and Diego Costa, as well as a clean sheet kept by Petr Cech, Chelsea won the English League Cup for the 5th time in club history with today's 2-0 win over Spurs at Wembley.

Hopefully, this is just the first of 2 or even 3 trophies this season for the Blues!

Manchester United's only realistic shot at silverware this season just went down the drain with a 2-1 loss to Arsenal at Old Trafford in the quarters of the FA Cup.

Fingernail biting time at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea and PSG are headed to Extra Time in their UCL Round of 16 tie.

Aggregate is 2-2, road goals are 1-1.

This game has been horribly officiated. A sending off for PSG that was a poor decision, another potential PSG sending off that was missed, a penalty that wasn't called against PSG, a potential Chelsea sending off that was not seen.

    Here we go!

    C'mon you Blues!

Chelsea have gone ahead, 3-2 on Aggregate, after a penalty conversion by Eden Hazard in the 96th minute!

Headed to the second half of Extra Time, Chelsea still up on Aggregate.
