    Same for Joe Flacco

He was highest paid QB just a season ago. He isn't a top 5 QB either. Granted his pay day came after a Super Bowl, still. Speaking of which just seen the players voted him in at #58 off last season lol. 19 touchdowns and 22 interceptions...

This is the age we live in. It will get restructured down the road likely.

Mors, you can't forget that the cap is expected to go up another $30 million over the next 3 years. These contracts recognize that. Jay Cutler got $17M. Forget elite QB, NFL teams are paying $15M+ for guys they think are bonafide starters they don't have to worry about. QB is the only position a team can't simply upgrade in FA. It's crucial, everyone knows it and everyone pays for it.

I heard something where the $61M guaranteed is a misnomer of sorts. It's broken up throughout the years and he would still have to earn it? Maybe I heard wrong.

Not sure but when it's time for Andrew Luck's deal it will surpass it.

    That's the way it works.

And Rudy hit on the head regarding paying for guys they feel are starters. In their mind they are elite whether the market dictates them as so or not.

If you have a QB who knows and can run your system, is very successful at it, and is also very young, that is like finding a mix of diamond and gold. GM's and coaches will do anything to keep that player, because it's not like you can just find/draft someone to plug in.

Former Steelers Head Coach Chuck Noll has died at age 82. Noll won Super Bowls IX, X, XII and XIV with Pittsburgh.

Sad day for Steelers fans worldwide.

ESPN - Tom Brady suggested that Bill Belichick, Patriots might have copy of Jets' playbook, according to report.

The CFL is allowing coaches to challenge pass interference calls this year. I hope it goes well. Certainly the NFL will monitor this and possibly change their rule next year. You should be able to challenge anything imo. You only get two challenges.

Dion Jordan suspended 4 games for PEDs. Miami is nothing but mediocre. Sick of this junk.

Maybe that's how he bulked up like I kept hearing this summer.

Joking of course, a lot is considered a "PED" in all these supplements you can get over the counter with the slightest trave of something that is banned.

Have to employ of chemist or whatever just to buy supplements
