    Blu-ray Ripping and Editing

Hey everyone, (yes, I'm still alive)
I'm interested in taking a few Blu-rays of mine and editing the video into a mashup of sorts. I'd like it to be Blu-ray quality (such that it would pass as appearing legitimate), so we're not talking YouTube-style/quality or anything. But I have no clue where to start, what you need, or what the legal options for getting video out of a Blu-ray are.

If anybody has a clue where I could start, or other forums that might be able to advise, I'd appreciate it.

Hope everyone's well, and Happy Holidays to all.

You know I don't know a damn thing about this, but glad to hear you're well.

That's the pay options for software (if you're looking to go that direction).

Free software that will take a raw video file and turn it into a blu ray compatible format that you can then use imgburn to burn to a blu ray (also free).

GREAT place for how-to guides for pretty much everything related to video editing, authoring, and so on.

According to PCmag, this is the BEST Windows usable (aka not Final Cut Pro) video editing software you can get. Sadly, it's $100..

    Steeler, thanks.

Mors, somehow I knew you'd come through with a response. Thanks a ton. Now I just have to buy a new computer and magically have the time to do this.

Hey mors, just wanted to say that without your response and those links, I wouldn't have pulled off the proposal that I did Some people probably think it was stupid, but my fiancee loved it, and that's all that matters
