Very annoying commentary but here's some hum/hum gameplay.

Did you realize the a place kicker's awareness has the same effect on his rating as his kick power? Both are about .55 overall points per kick or awareness point. Basically you move those up or down two points and it affects one point of their rating. Their accuracy is almost one full point for a full overall point (about .9). I just hope we can actually miss a FG this year but without separate special teams sliders it's doubtful.

From the mouth of EA/Tiburon:
I was really surprised to find out that short passes go up to 20 yards. I just figured it was 10 yards. That just seems off to me.Our ratings have broken down Throw Accuracy (THA) into 3 categories: short, medium and deep. While Aaron Rodgers is very accurate throwing to all parts of the field, some quarterbacks are much more accurate on short throws than deep throws. Here’s the breakdown:
- Short Accuracy – rating is the accuracy percentage of the QB on throws under 20 yards.
- Medium Accuracy – rating is the accuracy percentage of the QB on throws of 20-40 yards.
- Deep Accuracy – rating is the accuracy percentage of the QB on throws greater than 40 yards.
God that game play is laggy as hell ugh. Looks like servers will be crap again until way until Next gen. Plus that first onside kick really I hate ti when people do that crap so annoying and one big reason I don't play onlnie.
Totally agree. I consider short yardage slants and crossing routes - stuff under 10 yards. Medium should be 10 to 25/30 yards and deep balls after that.
I couldn't quite figure out how EA does the overall accuracy for the QBs. It doesn't look like a weighted percentage of those three variables. Something is off. The defensive ratings should come out soon for everyone. The top players have been released.
A good blog from EA's line guy over WR/TE ratings. Some are in combination to determine separation, tough catches and fumbles.

The sliders in that screenshot are identical except for special teams. Praying they pop them back in.
I just don't understand Mr. Looman and his reasoning. Practise squads are essential for a true sim experience. That is what makes it compelling...@Josh_Looman any chance that a practice squad will be in future Madden games? Or too many roster based rules for such a small feature?
Josh Looman @Josh_Looman 19 Aug
. @DeltaKoz Depends. If we can figure out a way to make it compelling, it could be possible at some point.
I was disappointed to hear the confirmation that you cannot play any other games and/or watch a cpu vs cpu game like the Super Bowl.
Personally I don't understand Mr. Looman's logic. Pretty much every sports game that is non-EA produced allows the user to play/watch other games. In my CCM 13 I drafted a qb in the first round. However, Tennessee drafted the guy I wanted. According to twitter he is a stud but I have never seen him play because OAKLAND has not played TENNESSEE in my CCM. I realize I am in the minority on this one but a feature in every other madden game before 13 is a feature that needs to return immediately IMO. What sucks is that in the current form of Madden I NEVER expect to see this feature available again.Jamil Al-amin @Jamil2K12 31 Jul
@Josh_Looman @iloveu4ever2011 ive sent josh like 7 msgs and I cant get a reply on one...will we have cpu vs cpu in m25 like in ncaa14
Josh Looman @Josh_Looman 31 Jul
@Jamil2K12 @iloveu4ever2011 It’s currently not possible in CFM since every person playing the game is a character.

@Josh_Looman Thank you Josh...Just curious. How come its available in NCAA14. What's the difference? And can u please add it in an update
Josh Looman @Josh_Looman 3 Aug
@Jamil2K12 Completely different technology.
Nice quick reference to playbooks.

I think they have CCM coded in such a way it is very inflexible. I just don't know the answers to those Jaymo.
Here are ALL the ratings of every player in Madden.

I got a chance last night to start my CCM last night. In the preseason, Oakland is already going to relocate to London and change their name and uniforms for next season
Doing owner mode, and really digging it so far.
The dude abides.
