    A Game of Inches

Rochester barely holds on to win bowl, 17-14.

The win capped a thrilling season for the Ravens, but also marked the end of an era. Coach Daklown, who many predicted would retire at the end of the season, made his retirement official at the post-game conference.

"I'm proud of our kids, I'm proud of this University," said coach Daklown at the post game conference while fighting tears. "It's been an amazing ride. On a personal level, I've achieved more than I could have hoped for. It's time for me to move on to new challenges and focus on my life outside of football."

Rochester took the opening kickoff and drove down to the Rome 11 yard line. Senior QB Ryan Richards was intercepted on a mid range out.

"There's fast, and then there's FAST," said Richards. "The throw looked like it was there, the route was sharp. Their guy just made an incredible break on the ball."

The teams would continue to be a defensive struggle until 1:50 left in the 2nd, when Rochester phenom Cam Harris punched in the ball from the 5 yard line to put Rochester up 7-0. With under a minute left in the 2nd, and in the span of just 3 plays, both teams would score TDs to make it 14-7. Kyle Bridges would intercept a deep corner and Rochester would add a FG with just 2 seconds left to up 17-7 at the half.

The second half was also a showcase of defense. With 46 seconds left, Rome speedster would take his second long pass to the house to make it 17-14. Rochester recovered the onside and kneeled the ball to end the game
