Maybe the secretly tweaked something in there. After one game of going back to the team specific books I'm happy but that could be a fluke. Still no general tuning files released for Madden 13.
As far as the drops, Madden lets you change your sliders in the demo Jaymo. Why not put your user catching back up to 50-60 and see how it goes. That should fix it.
