Escobar, we've got each other in the Fiesta Bowl. I'm available all weekend, just let me know what works.

Not a bad year for the Longhorns statistically #1 in offensive yards, passing yards, points per game, passing touchdowns and rushing yards allowed. Finished with a top 10 defense after taking out the two teams ahead of me that only played 11 games (ug EA).

QB David Ash won the Maxwell, Walter Camp and O'Brien awards, TE MJ McFarland won the Mackey, HB Malcolm Brown finished in the top 5 in the Maxwell (#5), Walter Camp (#2) and Walker (#2) while other finished in the top 10: DE Alex Okafor (Nagurski, #4), Jaxon Shipley (Biletnikoff, #9), Mason Walters (Outland, #7), Dominic Espinosa (Rimington, #8), Alex Okafor (Lombardi, #2) and Demarco Cobbs (Butkus, #7).

Texas figures out how to play offense in the second half enroute to a 38-7 victory in the Alamo Bowl over Stanford.

After scoring zero points and amassing a a paltry 49 yards in the first half, the Longhorns turned to second year players Malcolm Brown and MJ McFarland to right the ship. Coach Gillett stated, "when our first four plays from scrimmage resulted in two drops, a sack and an interception, I knew we were going to struggle after the long layoff".

Coach Gillett was visibly upset with his players on the sideline and from the looks of the team in the second half I'm sure there were some buckets flying at halftime.

David Ash followed up probably his worst game as a starting quarterback against Michigan State with an equally bad performance in the bowl game prompting questions going into the off season despite Ash's decorated season. "He's got to pull through tough times like this, its his first season as a starter and we've asked a lot of him this season, he's been a little banged up but he's a warrior," stated Coach Gillett.

After an 11-2 season in which the team came close to going undefeated you can see something being built, we all look to next season to see if there's enough improvement in this young team to get over the final two humps.

Florida State led the nation in sacks, by far. I think that's the first time I've done that since NCAA 2004, when I would just use a super fast DB out of Dime Hard to believe that I said, at several points during the season, that I was generating no pass rush, yet I had 60 sacks on the year. Just goes to prove that my D was feast or famine, because we led the nation in sacks and had a decent # of INTs, yet were in the bottom 25% in passing yards allowed.

The Florida State offense ... well, if you don't have anything nice to say ...
    ( 108th in rushing ... that is pathetic. )

Michigan wins the right to play against the CPU 28-23. Four interceptions by the Wolverine defense lead to the victory.

I'll be playing my game later tonight or sometime tomorrow during the day.
