Back in 2000 a couple of friends of mine had a web page where over 3000 people around the world listed their top 10 songs of the 80s. Ten points for a #1 down to 1 point for a #10 was given and the results tabulated, I forget the tie breaker system. Anyway, I still have the list and this thread will count them down with links to videos on you tube. I do look forward to the jokes and laughs and that is my reason for posting this. However, due to most of us being sports fans and competitive I decided to create a game out of this topic.

The rules: You must be a member of TGT as of 8/3/12.
I will begin counting down from #800. I may not post any on a given day, I may post a bunch.

In brief here are the rules.

1. You must pm me that you are playing by the time #500 300 is posted
2. You must pm me your guess at top 10 after the posting of #200 and before #100. Top player in points wins!
3. First one to pm me a correct #1 after the posting of #200 wins!

I will award a two year donation for each winner (or 1 four year if you are that good) to TGT.

For those that have just been watching I have extended sign up through #301. Let me know if you are going to play before #300.

I have been asked about scoring.

Your top ten list needs to be sent to me via pm after #200 but before #100. If you are first to have #1 you win a subscription. Highest total points gets a subscription as well.

If you have #1 matched up you will get 800 points, #2 gets 790, #3 780 down to 710 points for #10. These are for exact matches. You will get 700 points for any top ten song you list in your ten.

You will get 600 points for anything in the top 20
500 points for top 30
400 points for top 40
300 points for top 50
200 points for top 75
100 points for top 100
0 points for anything outside top 100. How confident on #1 are you?? How early should you submit your list??

I will post the players and running scores during the top 100. This is why your list needs to be sent via pm (secret) and before #100.
