I'm good. I've got multiple Army National Guard and Air National Guard bases within an hour or two drive of me. If anything, I'll find my way in and onto base, raid the armory and stock up for self defense.

One thing that picture is missing. Claymores. Unless you're traveling in a group of a bunch of people with at least one or two people awake and on guard/sentry duty 24/7, you're gonna want something that is not only going to wake you up, but kill anything that gets near you, while you're sleeping.

Small arms weapons are great, but you gotta go beyond that. Grenades are perfect for crowd control, and claymores are the best defense for perimeter security and security when sleeping, as well as an early warning system of sorts, as you'll know it's time to either bug out immediately or prepare to stand your ground when that thing goes off and you hear that explosion.

So I'd be carrying just as many grenades and claymores as I would small arms weapons and ammunition.

I've already pegged Ram to be one of the first casualties in his area, solely because he doesn't believe any of this and probably wouldn't when it actually happens.

It'll go down like this. The people in the immediate vicinity of the zombie virus will be the first to go because they'll have no clue what the hell is going on but will randomly be attacked by a family member, friend, neighbor or stranger, starting the path towards the downfall of civilization as it will become impossible to contain the virus.

The non-believers will be the next ones to go, because they'll think it's just people with overactive imaginations, people on drugs, psychotic people, (and in ram's case) idiots who have watched too many zombies movies/tv shows. That is, until they're laying on the ground having their guts ripped out by a pack of zombies.

Next will be the fat and obese people, because they're slowest and will be the easiest for zombies to catch out of a group of people running for their lives.

After that will be the people without weapons or who are under-prepared, such as not having enough bullets, only have stuff like machetes and other close combat weapons, no or not enough food, water and other supplies to last on their own in the country and wilderness for more than a couple days or a week.

Then it'll become a matter of random people wandering into towns for supplies getting picked off by zombies, people getting lost and running into herds, people thinking they can "wait it out" or defend themselves in their homes, people trapped or stuck in large cities (great for supplies, worst place to be for surviving long term), and the gangs of humans who will kill other humans so they can pillage supplies.

Yep, I'm right there with you guys. I'll survive the first two rounds, but I fall into the third category so unless I have a vehicle, or I'm able to run away from them fairly quickly (I can sprint for a little bit and run/jog for a decent distance/while), unless I'm able to lose them and get away from them in the first half a mile, I'm fucked.

But I'm sure as hell gonna put up one hell of a fight and make those fuckers work for their food, taking a good number of them along with me to a permanent death.
