I didn't truly appreciate the changes to GTA V until I saw this... a comparison of Hi-Res PC graphics for GTA IV versus images from the GTA V demo for GameInformer.

Sweet! Some sort of submersible, fighter jets, a commercial plane, hell yes. Hopefully both the fighter jet (you'd probably have to break into a military instillation) and the commercial planes are flyable by your character. I loved to go steal the jumbo jet in San Andreas, fly up to the highest possible altitude in it and jump out and do some sky diving, watching the plane crash to the ground beneath me. It upset me to have the airport and all those planes in GTA IV and you couldn't fly a single fucking one. All you could fly were the helicopters.

That was the beautiful thing with San Andreas, you could free fall from thousands of feet up in the air, and still live when you hit the water in the rivers. There were times though that I would say "aw fuck it" and let my guy go splat on the freeway or something.

Just heard on CNBC that GTA has been bumped to September to allow for more development time.

Damnit. This game better give you a blowjob when it releases to push it back half a year. Either that, or it is gonna seriously fall short of expectations, especially before the 6 month pushback.

I wonder if that is any kind of statement regarding next-gen consoles. A typical top-tier release wouldn't want to release just months before a next gen release but then again Rockstar has never really played by the same rules as everyone else.

yeah its interesting. the general thought is 720/ps4 come out late 2013 but some feel it won't be to 2014. if that is right rockstar pushing the game back might help them with sales b/c almost all of the "big" releases are early this year.

another interesting thought is perhaps they are prepping the game for a 720/ps4 launch release?

or (most likely) they think they need more time to live up to their own expectations and that of the consumers.
