Tailgate Golf Association - Official Rules

Scheduling Matches

We will be using the weekly Live Tournaments within The Games Village CC. The tournament will be set for two tries, but only for disconnects. Please honor the system, and only do one try. If for some reason you have used both tries and froze or disconnected both times, you will have to get your rounds in with a league member.

Season

The season will consist of twelve weeks, four rounds per week. The week starts on Wednesdays at 12 midnight central, and ends at 11:59 PM central on Tuesdays. There will be four majors in weeks four, seven, and ten and twelve.

Match Setup

You MUST use a created golfer.

The following will be the settings for the league (subject to change prior to the start of the season):

Tournament Details

The tourneys will be stroke play.

Ties in the regular tourneys will result in adding and dividing up the points equally. For example if there is a three way tie for 1st, the total of points will be divided evenly among those top three. We are not going to use the tiebreaker system.

Rule change for Season 2, the final major will be worth more.

The winner of the first three majors will earn 300 points, 2nd place earns 270, 3rd place earns 240, and it dwindles down by 15 for each place there after.

The winner of the TGA Championship will earn 600 points, 2nd place 500, 3rd place 400, and it downdles down by 50 for each place there after.

Rewards the winner of the final major more. I'm kinda basing it off of current standings to spice things up at the end of the year.

Rules have been updated to match the online settings for match setup and to include this rule regarding Live Tournaments:

If you have played a weekly Live Tournament round before playing with other members, your Live Tournament round will count towards your league play.
