Spoken Mascot Names in 11 (Full List Included)

Haven't seen if this has been addressed as of yet, but back in January EA asked for more names to consider for mascots that Nessler will say in the game.

Has an updated list that may include new spoken mascot names for 2011 been released yet? Will that info be released?

They haven't said which names will be announced, but I'll see if we can find out. I have hunch you are hoping for something like....Prairie Dogs?

Not so far that I've seen. No promises but I'll see if I can nudge the guy that would have that information to release one soon. Will obviously depend whether they plan to do a full blog on TeamBuilder11 being active and then include it with that.

If anyone is interested in the specifics, we recorded 2202 new Nicknames for this year. I also added a 204 alternate spellings that people had used with TeamBuilder (for example we had “Bandits” but now it will also play if you name your team “Banditz”). All the names we used came from the thread on the EA Forums and from teams created on TeamBuilder. We added the most common names from TeamBuilder (and just about all the names from the forum thread). Of the 520k TeamBuilder teams that existed when I created the list to record, 41,000 were "new" (ie not recorded or no version of the spelling on NCAA 10). Of the 2400 we had on NCAA 10, about 600 were never used by anyone! Of the 41,000 that didn't play anything on NCAA 10, 1600 of them had at least 10 teams using the name (many from the same author I'm sure).

Adam - I remember reading an article last year (maybe at Kotaku) where Nessler laughed out loud at some of the names he had to say. Any new ones this year that had the same result?

Prairie Dogs was the 1101th most popular Nickname on TeamBuilder, with 33 teams created. I'm surprised it was that few... I thought Prairie Dogs was my worst "miss" on NCAA 10. Lighning turned out to be the most used TeamBuilder nickname with no audio on NCAA 10 at 533 teams created.

HA....I'm surprised it was even that high on the list! But after 128 Seasons as the NSU Prairie Dogs, it will be great to hear that name now said in the game. Thanks again!

No kidding. Did you hear what happened in my dynasty? I completely lost my 128th Season in terms of season results. First time since I began writing down each season have I lost my paper listing my results. Complete bummer. It's looking as if Dynasty Wire is just what the doctor order in terms of helping prevent something like this from happening again.

Yep and hopefully you'll be able to easily transfer the highlights and such over to our forums too....I'm very curious to get my hands on that to see how it works.

Yeah, me too. With the exception of TeamBuilder, (and also now that Prairie Dogs will be a spoken mascot name) I couldn't think of a better dynasty enhancement than what this Dynasty Wire sounds like. To be sure, I'm still going to write my stuff down as I have always done, but DW does sound pretty freaking cool.

My only concern is if the server drops during a game, whether or not any of the stuff is still kept. I also wonder how easy (or if all) it will be to port information from DW onto forums. Guess we'll know for sure on the 13th.

You should be fine. With ODs, if the server drops during a HUM vs CPU game, your only concern was that it was back up whenever you finished a game in order to report your results. If it wasn't back up, you could always let your console sit at the "report results" screen until the server came back up.
