Welcome to life in NW Ohio. We don't have any of the good shit.Outside of mom and pop joints, all we have for chains are Applebee's Arby's, Bob Evans, Buffalo Wild Wings (don't open until 11am), Burger King, Dairy Queen (don't open until 10:30), Friendly's, Frickers, Frischs Big Boy, KFC, McDonalds, Subway, Taco Bell, Wendys and a slew of pizza places (7 or 8 if I'm remembering them all).
The nearest Sonic, or Sonic-equivalent, is in Bryan, a 20-25 minute drive away.
So when I get off at 9am, that leaves me waiting an hour and a half if I want a simple burger.
Me I personally miss Taco John's (small Taco Bell like chain). Used to work their in HS and in college to pay the bills but the closest ones are either at Lackland or Fort Hood which is a little too far for fast food "Mexican".
Small town here with only a McDonald's and a Sonic. Sonic serves breakfast all day but they have too few options. The French toast sticks taste like cardboard, the burritos are okay but nothing special. The croissant is the best thing on the menu. They used to have a pancake on a stick which was tasty. Burgers are average, fries are crap, tots are okay. Only thing Sonic is good for is the popcorn chicken, mozzarella sticks and the slushes. If I want ice cream I fond the nearest DQ,
Yeah, Sonic......... Let me just say that I had a client that owned a pest control company..........and I don't eat there anymore. Seems most of the restaurants are very clean but the trucks bring in the "problems" from the distribution centers.
Yeah if/when I want a Fast Food like burger I usually go to one of the 10 billion food trucks we have here in Houston. If you are ever in Houston Bernie's Burger Bus has GREAT burgers.
As far as chains I prefer 5 Guys and Wendy's for my burger.

I'm looking forward to the Memphis Pulled Pork. I never got to try that fucker last summer. When I finally got around to visiting the local BK, they were out of it, apparently only had a limited supply to last the entire summer.
