I also don't believe that if you were WANTING that true experience, that you would continue to play in a place that would have to "force" players to play more realistically. Now that I play in a league at TSO, I understand that a sim experience is about more than just playing a perfectly put together AI football game against another user. Its about respecting the game for what is fair and what is not based on the exploits of the game, pitting that against the physical rules of real life football and playing at a level that doesn't abuse that edge. Oh yeah, and still finding a way to win.

Could things be better? Yeah they could and I want EA to know how they could do that as much as anyone! I put in my 2cents all the time on things that would help the game and the series become closer to a real life game.

Am I gonna whine till my head falls off about the fact that I can't get a decent game of football with the "east wing guys" cause they exploit the game too much based on its ai flaws and therefore threaten to not buy the game until 'x, y and z' are fixed?:

    No!!!

Point is, it's a video game so no matter how good the game gets, exploits will be available. Those that care only about wins will find a way to exploit the game to benefit them. Those that care about how the game is played will avoid that when it doesn't fit a real life situation. Point blank, period, end of story.

Getting all worked up over EA spending their time to please more than 50% of the buyers instead of spending time on your personal agenda with the game because you are are either unwilling or too lazy to find a crowd or group of players that you could enjoy the game with is in a phrase: idiotic and self absorbed. I am not saying any of us are that way, I'm just sayin' "don't be that guy".

For me, regardless of how great gameplay gets, it's not a true sim experience without presentation and the like that goes into dynasty, so I would be crushed if something like intros were removed. Before them, every time it went straight to the coin flip I got really annoyed at the missing ingredient to getting ready for the game. And I do watch them every time.

However thats not what most (if any) of the head to head guys play for. They play for stats.
Great post. It's funny b/c I have never been a presentation guy or really care about how 'pretty' the game looks. Being married with 2 kids really limits my time with the game. So going straight to coin flip and skipping all cut scenes was how I wanted it. Getting in as many games as possible was my goal. NCAA 11 showed me I was wrong. I've feel presentation DOES affect gameplay. Not literally...but in the sense that it makes the gameplay more fun b/c I'm more into the game b/c of the what presentation adds to the realism. Even with a generic entrance for my team I prolly watched the entire entrance 75% of the time.

I like the recruiting portion of the dynasty mode more than anything so doing a dynasty like this would allow me to get through the games faster + brings a nice broadcast style and feel of actually watching the game play out which could be neat. I'll probably do at least one side-dynasty like this in NCAA Football 12. Just to get my recruiting fix in and take full advantage of the awesome presentation in this years game.

I'm thinking real hard about getting in one like this as well. Could be interesting to try and hey if it isn't my cup of team so be it, but I want to atleast try it out. I enjoy the recruiting as well, and would like to see how things pan out just coaching the kids up a little bit. I could see myself yelling even more at the game though too.

Be cool if there was a way in dynasty to watch user vs user games. I know psuexv and I, and Oneback has as well streamed them and it was a blast to watch the games.

I want that mode as well, but there is a LOT that goes into it to it work right; which is why it hasn't made the cutting room floor.

Looking at the diving catching again, I'm really surprised that there was no defensive dive "bat away" animation added to match and defend the diving catch animation. I'm a little disappointed there will not be a viable defense vs this technique.

if you are trailing and the dive animation triggers and they catch the ball then you would still miss it anyways... ive looked at it this way... if someone WANTS to dive and catch it, ill allow them, they are down there, and as long as you keep the flats covered with the upgraded zone it wont be that bad... thats the only places i can see someone really dropping darts for them to dive and catch it perfect'ish like in the video... just my 2 cents

So what though?! The offense gets an extra 1 or 2 yards to make up ground while the defender is helpless but to watch.

i dont understand... the one or two times i have seen it with a defender there he doesnt stop running, he is just trailing so bad he doesnt have time to catch up to it...

Again, so what? I just want to see an effort from my defender LOL. However contrary to the videos, what about when the defender is even with the guy, and could get there, but the offense is the only one with the animation to get to it? Maybe it's not so prevalent in the videos so far, but I guarantee there will be an important catch that will be made that should have been defended and couldn't be, in just about everyone's dynasty.

I guess this will make up for the past 7 years of super lbs making plays they shouldn't have

There's one instance in the Missou-OK State game video where the receiver catches a slant and the LB completely stops chasing him for a second. It looked like a user error initially because there was a sudden jerking animation that took the LB completely out of the play, but then if you go back and watch it the player is completely AI controlled.

It was clearly some kind of glitch.

EDIT: Didn't read the initial post clearly enough. Thought you were talking about something else.
