    2011 Fantasy Baseball Thread

This thread might just be me and psuexv?

    But oh well, fire away.

And just as I type Carlos Pena FINALLY hits his first HR as a Cub.

At least I had him in one league...the one league I had him in...a SICK day of pitching:

Dempster, Latos, K-Rod and Fuentes for R, Liriano, and Ogando all pitching tonight:

    29.1 INN, 1.23 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 4 QS, 18 K

I have him in one league. The one league where I definitely felt like I tore up the draft.

Montero, Dunn, Pedroia, A-Ram, Rollins, Kemp, Braun, Crawford, Soriano (picked up off waivers ), Zobrist

Hanson, Haren, Scherzer, Hellickson, Shields, Kennedy, Norris, Kimbrel, Walden, Putz, Venters (holds count)

That's not bad... Soriano is sitting out there right now and I'm hesitant to go get him. No SB and his average is low. Zobrist and Berkman are also there... I need to grab Berkman asap

I've got 3 solid 1B but Berkman and Zobrist are listed at multiple positions. I could get rid of Rickie Weeks for Zobrist but he's playing well.

Ok made it happen... grabbed Berkman and dropped a pitcher DL... and dropped Delmon Young for Zobrist... even if Young comes back healthy I'll take Zobrist.

No wonder....I'm in 12 and 14 team leagues....NO WAY Zobrist and Soriano would still be out there. Soriano only leads the majors in HR's.

Yeah don't get rid of weeks. Delmong Young was poised to have a big year, but this injury makes it a questions now. Zobrist is currently a top ten OVERALL player in fantasy for the entire season (mostly thanks to that double dip)...and he should be solid the rest of the year.

We had 10 last year and then everyone jumped ship right before the draft.

Yeah I've run a $ fantasy football league for 12 years now going into (maybe) season....I've had last minute f'ers drop out, and I have to scramble. One year I was absolutely stuck with an odd number of teams, and thankfully I found a schedule set up that allowed for double header weeks where you play against two different teams in the same week, and in the end everyone has played the same amount of matchups.

I'll keep you in mind. It wouldn't be the first time. One year I had a guy in Cali, and a guy in PA, and there is an ol' college buddy of mine who has been in the league almost from the beginning who's in North Dakota.
