Here's this week's hopeful Golden Ticket:

    North Carolina (+10.5) over CLEMSON
    Kansas St. (-11.5) over KANSAS
    HOUSTON (-20.5) over Marshall
Chicago at TAMPA BAY: UNDER 43.5
Kansas City at OAKLAND: OVER 41.5

That NC game is a nice pick. Clemson is going to stumble at some point and NC could do it.

Thanks. I think that tight Miami game is going to get UNC back on track.

You really like KC/OAK OVER, given the QB situation?

I was thinking of BAL/JAX UNDER 40. Should be unless Baltimore gets 2 or 3 TDs on defense (which is possible).

Yeah KC is tops in the league in TD's given up...McFadden is going to destroy them. Cassel's been hot lately too.

Yeah, but KC has only allowed 20.3 PPG in their last 3. It's those first 2 games that inflate the numbers. I understand about McFadden, assuming Palmer is any threat. I just think I'd steer clear. Maybe you're right though.

Just food for thought...teams are 1-6 SU after the Bye this year.

Yep that is because teams have to give players 4 consecutive days off. That with the lockout is the key reason why.

Well if McFadden wouldn't have gotten hurt....would have been a much different game.

Yeah. Maybe Boller and Palmer would have only combined for 4 INTs and 1 pick-6 if McFadden was healthy.

The pick 6's are big time helpers for the overs though....if Oakland could have only managed 10 points and KC got one more TD...it would have been golden.

    22-13 on the year.

By the way...no one in the group went 5-0 last week....so the pot carries over and will have at the very least $1261 in it

    I love that movie.

Stick to gambling like that? Son, I'm 22-13 on the year. Hopefully 27-13 and the only one to go 5-0 next week so I can be $1261 richer.

Last year there was 4 weeks of carryover in a pot. It was over $2200.
