The August game update (1.07) is now available for Madden NFL 19.

A significant update (over 2 GB in size), it incorporates a new formula for the Hit Stick, blocking upgrades for playaction passes, a new banner displaying player name on off-ball injuries, as well as numerous additional improvements to gameplay, Franchise Mode, and MUT.

This update adds new commentary and facescans for players such as Kareem Hunt, Bradley Chubb, and Nick Chubb.

Details on the content of the upcoming NBA LIVE 19 demo have been revealed via the EA Help website.

The Rise (opening chapters of The One), Live Events, Practice Mode, and Drills will be the highlights of the demo. Once users complete two games of The Rise they will be able to play NBA (Golden State vs. Boston) or WNBA (Los Angeles vs. Minnesota) games. Breaking from the last two years, the demo will not contain Live Run. Two modes that have yet to be discussed pre-release will also be excluded, Franchise Mode and Ultimate Team. H2H and Court Battles (a new feature yet to be detailed) will also not be in the demo.

The EA SPORTS NBA LIVE Companion (FaceScan) App is expected to be available before the release of the demo. Users can then import a scan for their created player and get them to as high as Level 20 in the demo.

NHL 19 will be adding a new level of depth to its Franchise Mode with a new Scouting system. Users can build a squad of up to 20 scouts that will affect drafting, trading, free agency, and waiver wire pickups.

Scouts will have 30 ratings that determine their ability to scout players along with two areas of expertise known as Evaluation Abilities and Region Familiarity. Evaluation Abilities help them to determine player related skills and the scout's ability to discover prospects. Region Familiarity indicates a scout's effectiveness in a certain part of the world.

This new indepth scouting feature also includes amateur scouting as well as the Fog of War, requiring you to utilize your pro scouts to evaluate players you wish to acquire through trades and free agency. The NBA 2K19 soundtrack will be curated by Grammy-nominated rapper Travis Scott and the 47 songs contained there within have been announced. The soundtrack will feature songs from Scott’s new album Astroworld, as well as tracks he selected by Bruno Mars FT Cardi B, Migos, Fall Out Boy, Alison Wonderland, Partynextdoor and more.

Through a trailer and developer blog, NBA 2K has released info on changes coming to MyTEAM in NBA 2K19 which includes new modes, better rewards system, and improved UI & notifications.

New modes coming to MyTEAM include MyTEAM Unlimited, Triple Threat, Triple Threat Online, and Daily Trials. Existing game modes such as Challenges and Domination have been refreshed to make them more unique and user-friendly, particularly as it relates to rewards.

Content will be increased in 2K19 with earlier chances than ever to earn a Pink Diamond player. In addition, the newest and most rare type of card in MyTEAM will be Galaxy Opal while new Heat Check cards will see players able to play at a higher level in-game following an outstanding performance in real life.

NBA LIVE 19 will feature a Court Creator feature for users to personalize and customize 'The One Court.' This court will be used for Drills, Shootaround, and Scrimmage, among other features.

While users will not be able to upload custom images, there will be a significant amount of customization options including name, location, floor material, court graphics, floor paint, court text, equipment colors, and more. Full-court graphics will include designs of NBA/WNBA players and designs from artists.

The league is currently scheduled to have a live draft on Tuesday, August 14 at 9 PM CT. (This can be changed if the majority of group agrees.) If you are unable or unwilling to participate in a live draft, please do not join the group. If interest warrants, the group can also be expanded (or contracted). The Yahoo! Sports league will utilize players from the Power Five conferences plus Notre Dame.

The launch title update is now available for Madden NFL 19.

This update addresses numerous issues and items, including one that stoked significant debate and discussion online Thursday and Friday. Colin Kaepernick's name has been unedited and restored to YG's track "Big Bank" on the game soundtrack.

Gameplay improvements include the ability for players to hit their top speed faster as well as adjustments to pre-play QB animations. These pre-play adjustments have drawn some scrutiny from those in the community who feel it may allow for an unrealistic number of pre-snap adjustments.

Other improvements include updated facescans for players such as Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Jimmy Garoppolo, Josh Rosen, Saquon Barkley, and Tyreek Hill, among others.
