NBA 2K17 continues to invest heavily in improving their three franchise modes (MyGM, MyLeague, and MyLeague Online) as evidenced it their latest developer blog. Here are some of the noteworthy additions & changes:
MyLeague Online - The online league component will now extend beyond just one season and feature players improving and declining as the years progress along with the ability to import draft classes. Instead of utilizing contracts and money to build a roster, MLO focuses on players each having their own number of 'Keeper' years. Users will keep a select number of players each year with others becoming free agents. In the offseason users will draft between free agents and rookies to flesh out their roster.
Playoffs - A new mode, this allows users to create their own standalone 16-team post-season mode from among modern, classic, & Euroleague teams.
MyLeague Start Today - Another new mode/option, once the season starts users will be able to begin MyLeague at that exact point in the season, beginning with team records, stats, etc. as of that date.
