Arkansas State's mascot name is Howl

Traditions

Team Entrance

Arkansas State's team is lead out first by cheerleaders carrying flags and followed by the mascot (Howl) riding on a motorcycle out of the inflatable tunnel. The first player behind the motorcycle carries a sledgehammer which was awarded to the player with the biggest hit in the game prior. The band lines up along the hash marks for the motorcyle & players to run through. Team runs all the way to the opposite endzone before making their way to the sideline.

Crowd Chants

East side of stadium chants "Arkansas State", West side of stadium responds "Red Wolves"

On first downs, the PA Announcer will say "And that's another Arkansas State..." and the crowd responds "First Down!"

On third & fourth downs, crowd chants "DEFENSE" [stomp stomp] "Defense" [stomp stomp]...
