Tonight should be fine. Thanks.
CLW, I'm around and ready to play. On psn now, just holler at me when you're ready.
The double dipsy do pause trick didn't work this time. Escobar and get disco'd with about 3:23 left in the 4th quarter.
Score was 27-13 Escobar, 3rd and 8
CDJ let me know what you want me to do. I'm not replaying this entire game over
Yea we tried for awhile kept getting booted or losing connection. we will try again tonite CDJ
Dukie I'm downloading the system update its almost done then I'll be on.
I'll wait and advance in the morning so you guys can get your game in.
Skip & Esc - You guys can either replay or we can leave it to the mercy of the sim gods. You guys decide, but I understand not wanting to replay it.
Sinister and I have had all kinds of trouble getting to play the Western Michigan - Eastern Michigan showdown the last two nights. Whenever he sends an invite, and I accept, it immediately says "Ready" for me, but after a minute, it says that we have lost the connection -- never gets past that stage. He said, however, that there's no indication that I'm ready, and it just says "waiting for opponent" on his screen. The opposite happens when I send him the invite-- it tells me that I'm endlessly "waiting for opponent". We can't make it past the uniforms/ strategy selection screen. We're both inclined to sim it out.
That is a problem that existed last year as well.
AFAIK, I've been able to avoid it by direct connecting - connect your PS3 directly to your modem, bypassing the router. I also have ports open on my modem, but I don't know how helpful that truly is.
Are both of you guys direct connecting or able to direct connect?
Escobar, let me know your availability. I have a UvU game in all three of my ODs but I'm fairly flexible except for Saturday night. Just let me know what works for you.
I may be available Friday night, but it's questionable. Saturday during the day or afternoon to early night should work. I am also free all day Sunday until 6pm central.
Not really able to -- we had to move the router and modem into another room several months ago because it kept losing the signal when it was in the room with the TV, based on the way the wiring is set up. Other than not being able to play this one game, I haven't had significant problems connecting through the wireless, and I've been able to play online against random opponents both before and after. Is there any other way around it?
