yes it was like watching an fsu meltdown that took 5 years or so all in one season (jeff bowden) our defense was so stacked with nfl talent that it hid our problems for a while, it appears your D was reloading at the same time as your O and with the bad coaching and tough schedule it all happened very fast.

Thats the thing that makes this even worse is that this schedule is not that tough.

In awesome news, in a season where I need to sign a lot of off season recruits my week 1 recruiting didn't take. I have a feeling I exited before returning to the main screen. My fault in the end as I should have checked like I normally do right before advancing. Oh well.

Also, how does a DE from the state of Wisconsin not even have the Badgers on his top 10? Not like I needed him, but still wanted to try to seal my borders.

yea i would not have tried but, as we all know the qb i signed from ohio is a career backup, so really i needed a star to come in and compete with mcpherson

i really dont understand why the game gives texas so much love in recruiting, they always sign a top 10 class, but rarely do they ever get more than two 5 start prospects in a given year. Just another area in which EA goes totally unrealistic for no reason.

The simple answer is that there's absolutely no competition for Papa in Texas. It has nothing to do with EA giving more love to UT. There are six [5star] prospects in Texas this year. Papa's signed 5, and he's #1 on the 6th.

Here's the results of real Texas recruiting for 2005 & 2007-2010 (for some reason 2006 is missing). 18 [5star] recruits: Texas signed 6 (33%), Oklahoma signed 4, LSU signed 3, and A&M signed 2. The rest were signed by Michigan (Ryan Mallett), Oregon, and Miami. Nobody is competing with Papa like that in Texas.

In 2009, there were 6 [5star] recruits in Texas, just like there are in our current dynasty year. 2 to LSU, 3 to Texas, and 1 to A&M. Russell Sheppard was one of the Bayou Bengals. Would the dynasty equivalent of Russell Sheppard leave Texas? No way.

texas will probably sign them, sorry tosu m and you kind of made my point, texas signed 6 5*s in 4 or 5 seasons lol, in the game the state of texas has way more 5*s than normal i guess...but yes i have been trying to make iron dragon realize he needs to hit texas hard but it falls on deaf ears....i can only hope no one picks up miami and i get florida to myself!

I've got Texas as a pipeline and have been going after kids in Texas but this year Papa has beat me out for them. We'll see what next year holds.

No ... you missed my point. In the game, Texas hasn't been losing those 5 star players to anybody else. In real life, they do. There aren't significantly more 5-stars in the game than there were in real life ... as I said, this year matches 2009's actual recruiting for Texas.
