It's impossible to learn anything when the person playing doesn't do anything besides the same old cheesy bullshit that everyone else does instead of playing it like a real game. Learned nothing about defending the CPU's triple option when he stays in Dime 4-2-6 the whole time against a 3 WR Navy Set. Learned nothing about the playbook that Georgia State has because he choose some stupid multiples playbook. Learned nothing about the 4-3 Multiples and 3-4 Multiples defensive playbooks because he never chose them. Learned nothing about the CPU pass defense because he never changed the play at the line of scrimmage based on coverages and alignments. He only went 4 WR to run fuckin' 4 verts.

The ONLY thing I learned is the triple option for the CPU is still fucked because they don't give the FB the amount of touches he should be getting because EA still doesn't have enough variation on the plays that force the defense to commit to someone else on the option besides the FB. The Wings still get the ball WAY too much because the defense focuses on the inside handoff WAY more than it should, followed by immediately crashing to stop the QB, and thus allowing 12-15 yard runs with the Wingbacks. The only time the CPU was able to stop the human player running the option (granted, on default All-American), was when the human player stupidly ran it toward a side that didn't have enough blockers.

So, JB, I do take offense when someone like that provides video with nothing worth garnering from it because, clearly, he isn't as in depth with the game as I'd like him to be. Nothing is gained from 3 and 4 WR Vert plays, Big formation sweeps and off tackle plays, and all cheesy bullshit. That's not how you should be playing the game, and, if it is, you shouldn't be a gamechanger who has input on changing things in the game. It's stupid shit like that that made me stop playing against humans because people just can't stand to lose. It's great what he's doing for the community, but when that includes useless shit like these videos, I'm less appreciative of what he's doing.
You're making the mistake of assuming everyone wants the same game you do when in fact the vast majority of people who play this game don't. We are the minority. FACT. Everyone doesn't know real football schemes and DOESN'T CARE TO KNOW THEM! EA is trying to walk a line between implementing real life schemes & interactions while still keeping the game fun for the bulk of their fan base who truly doesn't give a shit about where a safety lines up in cover 2 against a certain formation.

Now EA is slowly getting around to many of the things we have all been asking for for quite a while and I agree with you that it probably hasn't happened quick enough for our liking but, If you think the devs who directly make the game have the say in what they get to add each year think again. Do you get the final say at your job? Doubt it.

I think there is a way to accommodate both groups at the same time & IMO the changes we are hearing about and seeing some evidence of in these videos points towards EA heading in that direction.
