I'm glad I am not the only one who notice this. But it seems just about one throws a bad pick or can't get the passing gaming what so ever against crappy teams except WA where video should have no problem doing so but he hammered every play by their defense just pathetic IMO.

I can't wait for one more day and its demo time!!

So yeah, I don't have a problem saying a guy or "leader" out there shows cheese tendencies, especially since I played a bunch of them back when. That doesn't downplay the content provided at all. Totally different category, in fact. It merely points out the way they play.
Look I get it, and I have no idea how things wen't down with you in the past. I'd simply say that people often make the mistake of assuming that everyone enjoys the game just like them. It's not true and to say that it irritates you that someone is a GC just because he doesn't play the game just like you is a very limited POV and overlooks Mad's true contributions as a GC.

On another note, between the limited impressions we've gotten, the videos, & now the OS write up, I am cautiously optimistic for the game at this point. Excited for the demo tomorrow!

By taking the time to upload all of these videos he has shown why he is a game changer. He cares greatly about the NCAA community and goes out of his way to represent them and give them as much back as he can.

Second, not every game changer is there to provide direct feedback on gameplay. Mad started organizing huge multi-player dynasties when you still had to save off the file to a memory card once you finished your game and then send that file to the next guy so he could play his game. He knows everything there is to know about the struggles of running an online dynasty & his feedback probably has a lot to do with the current online dynasty feature even existing.

I would check your facts before you start "biting the hand that feeds you" so to speak. But what the hell do I know?
Since I can't find a "like" button on these forums I'll give this a +1.

Kwizzy, good response and I it. Just so it is known, it doesn't bother me one bit that Mad or anyone else is a GC. They've done the content work to be given that role by EA and good on them. The other behind-the-scene stuff doesn't matter anymore and is what it is. At the same time, doesn't matter if it is a GC, just some guy off the street, or a forum regular......if the way they are playing is suspect, then it shows. That is how I read Jayrah's post, not as a shot at Mad or anyone else for providing content, running forums, being a GC, etc. It isn't a shot at them for what they do, as what happens isn't their fault........what happens with the game rests squarely on EA and them either taking feedback or not.
Really doesn't matter in the big picture.

And yes, I'm hoping the demo shows out well tomorrow, I'm looking forward to getting some good NCAA time in with all the hopefully good updates. The series needs what the OS article spells out, so crossing fingers. Well, that and some D revamping still.......and ability to purposely throw in the dirt.......

Yeah I guess this is the part I took issue with:
Makes me wonder how the F some of these clowns become "game-changers" and also makes me realize why the game doesn't "change" as quickly as we want Some of the more "major" ones are as cheesy as they come
I promise you that the gameplay team wants to eliminate as much cheese as they can (the way Mad or othe GCs play the game isn't going to affect that), what actually gets done is another story and I'll leave it at that.

    I hear ya after reading that again. Glossed over it originally as the part in bold is what I consider to be on EA's shoulders, not GC or anyone else. Especially given that I recall sending feedback way back when that didn't seem to be acknowledged or someone like OneBack providing very detailed technical defensive responsibilities, etc. and still not seeing that stuff adopted over many years. {shrug}

All in all, that is why I like interacting with NEB fans, they are reasonable and civil whenever been in discussions or at games with them. Thanks.

I'm not going to comment about the ridiculous things that were said earlier today. Kwizzy handled that well. Just remember if it wasn't for him, you would have had NOTHING in terms of pre-demo gameplay videos.

Dang look at blocking on all them plays wow! Options is gonna be hard to stop and fun to use. That is a tutorial though. Great for first time people into the NCAA series. I'm really NCAA is gonna beat out Madden this year.

I wouldn't care one way or another JB. I learned nothing from watching him play. It's impossible to learn anything when the person playing doesn't do anything besides the same old cheesy bullshit that everyone else does instead of playing it like a real game. Learned nothing about defending the CPU's triple option when he stays in Dime 4-2-6 the whole time against a 3 WR Navy Set. Learned nothing about the playbook that Georgia State has because he choose some stupid multiples playbook. Learned nothing about the 4-3 Multiples and 3-4 Multiples defensive playbooks because he never chose them. Learned nothing about the CPU pass defense because he never changed the play at the line of scrimmage based on coverages and alignments. He only went 4 WR to run fuckin' 4 verts.

The ONLY thing I learned is the triple option for the CPU is still fucked because they don't give the FB the amount of touches he should be getting because EA still doesn't have enough variation on the plays that force the defense to commit to someone else on the option besides the FB. The Wings still get the ball WAY too much because the defense focuses on the inside handoff WAY more than it should, followed by immediately crashing to stop the QB, and thus allowing 12-15 yard runs with the Wingbacks. The only time the CPU was able to stop the human player running the option (granted, on default All-American), was when the human player stupidly ran it toward a side that didn't have enough blockers.

So, JB, I do take offense when someone like that provides video with nothing worth garnering from it because, clearly, he isn't as in depth with the game as I'd like him to be. Nothing is gained from 3 and 4 WR Vert plays, Big formation sweeps and off tackle plays, and all cheesy bullshit. That's not how you should be playing the game, and, if it is, you shouldn't be a gamechanger who has input on changing things in the game. It's stupid shit like that that made me stop playing against humans because people just can't stand to lose. It's great what he's doing for the community, but when that includes useless shit like these videos, I'm less appreciative of what he's doing.

Well it's not like EA brokered him to do these videos. He went out there on his own dime and provided these videos on his own.

I don't think (may be wrong) your criticism is in question here Mors. I don't remember you calling anyone a clown or assuming that "clowns" are the reason the game is not as "we" expect. Cheese is cheese no doubt but name calling gets us nowhere.

Mors, if you watch the Georgia Tech vs West Virginia videos, particularly the 2nd & 3rd quarters, you definitely see the CPU FB get a bunch of carries with good success. He hasn't busted any long ones while I'm watching but is pulling off 7 yard carries with consistency.

In the 1st half GT ran a few passes, 1 speed or load option (which didn't involve the B back) and 7 options that did involve the B back. The B back carried the ball on the first 5 of those 7 options.

Here's the B back's final stats (his backup had at least 1 carry too).

Damn it! I JUST got Animal Crossing on the 3DS! I was gonna wait on '14 but damn it, this looks like the best version of all time! My playbook will be FULL of option plays out of shotgun and pistol.
