Boo! A couple of Tulsa's uniform options that are in '13 have been removed from '14. Don't know if it was the university requesting them removed (no longer used uniforms?) but still, uniforms should only be added, never removed from the game. I suppose it's a good thing that I'm leaving Tulsa and moving onto a new team at the end of my current season.
Madsci tweeted at me that he felt player momentum was the same in both Madden and NCAA.
@MadScientist06: @jpdavis1982 @rudyjuly2 The swerve is gone in both NCAA Football 14 and Madden NFL 25 next gen. I didn't feel any difference between them.

The details of the uniforms, I couldn't care less about, but it is nice to have the multiple options of home/away and alternates to mix in here and there throughout the season. Use the home uniform for most games, but maybe throw in a special alternate for the game when a bunch of recruits are visiting (make it feel more special than just another old home game), same for the final home game of the year, make "senior night" feel different than just another home game.
That was one thing I hated at Florida International, staring at essentially the same uniforms every game for three seasons. FIU had their home uniform with a navy blue jersey, and then one home alternate, which the only change was a black jersey. That was it. I can't remember if there was even an away alternate. If there was, it was probably just something like white pants as opposed to gold pants or something. Three years of staring at the same home/away uniform gets a bit old after a while.
So while I ultimately couldn't care less about the little details on uniforms, or socks, or cleats, or facemasks, etc., I do like to have alternate uniforms as options to select now and then throughout the seasons, just to keep things fresh on the field.

Yes. I watched the gameplay, and at the coin toss screen is Old Dominion "Big Blue" rather than the "Monarchs". Really weird.
Well that's odd. Yeah, I haven't watched that video yet, so when you mentioned Monarchs, I thought maybe you were referring to the uniforms video, that maybe you hadn't known ODU's name (I'm sure there are plenty out there who have no idea that they're known as the Monarchs). Definitely a misread on my part.
Possibly. It could also be Taco Bell trying to kill me after having it for dinner last night. And on that note, after this morning, I think I'll take a long hiatus from Taco Bell just in case.
UConn, Cal, Oregon State, Arizona, North Carolina, Baylor, Indiana or West Virginia do not have their updated uniforms. The updated logos for UConn and Oregon State did make it in.
