I'm sure ram is too. It's easy to know what is coming when you have The Script.

Kind of classless/bush league for OSU to go for it on 4th & inches at the 4 with about 1:30 to play.

Kick a 21-yard FG and it's a 3-score game. Instead, they were determined to run it up.

They did it to let Elliott break the national title game record for most rushing touchdowns. That gave him 4, breaking Vince Young's record from 2006. That's why they kept handing off to Elliott over and over there at the end.

I've been saying that all night. If Ohio State didn't constantly fuck up with the fumbles, they end up hitting 50 tonight.

Meh. Ok. Not good enough for my tastes, I guess.

Oh, trust me, I'm not saying it was a good reason for doing it, but that was the reason as they kept shoving the ball to Elliott every play those last couple plays leading up to the touchdown. He already had the rushing yards record and was tied for the rushing TD record, so they gave him the outright record as well. Not necessarily a good reason, but that's why they did end up calling that.

Understood. I knew you weren't saying you were in favor of it. You would think, however, that the script writers would have him get the record without making the Buckeyes look like a bunch of D-bags in the process.

Hoping very badly that they will have that broadcast up on the WatchESPN app. Didn't want to watch it during the live game. I know that I would love it.

On the complete other end, it feels very nice to win. Not quite like 2003, but those were different circumstances and a very different game.

Yeah, 2003 was completely different. My god that night was nuts. Tonight was a great game and is a very special win for the Buckeyes, but I don't think anything will ever match the circumstances and feeling that 2003 game brought.

The third string qb comes in and just wins the big ten, a playoff game over Bama and a national title. Mack Brown joked he should petition to leave early for the draft if it happened since it doesn't get any better.

I believe it is being replayed at 4 PM ET today on ESPNU.

Isn't Jones a redshirt soph? That would make him three years out of HS and draft eligible, right?

I think he will probably consider it. After all, Jones isn't a huge fan of classes:

He's 22 years old, he can leave.

He spent time at Fork Union.

Oregon's lack of size on the DL killed them. The play in the trenches was the difference. Oregon did ok for the 1st quarter, but their DL isn't powerful or deep enough to maintain that play all game. Thus, Ohio just pounded them.

That DL difference may have played out different had Oregon not kept dropping 3rd down conversions.....they go up by 14 and Ohio has to play a little differently. However, OSU was bottling up the Oregon run game consistently enough that Oregon was having to work.

Ohio State is only going to have 1 of those 3 QBs next season and my guess it will be only Barrett

Like he'd say anything different about the other two.

Urban could platoon a couple of them like was done at UF with Leak, but.........that still leaves one out.
I'd think Jones would take the money and run.....3rd round pick money and learning from a decent team behind a current starter would do him wonders.
He's a better QB to the NFL than Miller, so Miller either needs to improve his game or move to WR (like Devin Gardner should have done). I loved when Miller would stay in the pocket to pass, as he frankly wasn't that good, and it was a better situation for Michigan compared to him running.
