The UEFA Champions League gets its Group Stage underway on Tuesday. Chelsea plays Schalke on Wednesday. Chelsea got a very favorable draw and should win the group fairly easily.

I'm really happy with what the Blues have done so far in the Premier League. They are the only club with maximum points (4-0-0) and they have scored 15 goals. Diego Costa has 7, it has been a brilliant start to his EPL career.

They have a big game at Etihad next weekend. A win over City could put Chelsea 8 points clear of the title holders.

    KTBFFH!

Chelsea drew, 1-1, today with Schalke at Stamford Bridge in their first Champions League match of the season. Not an ideal result but not a concern either as the Blues should have no terrible escaping their group. Schalke is the best of the rest (after Chelsea) and I suspect both will get through.

With Villa predictably shitting themselves against the Gunners today, Chelsea have the opportunity tomorrow to, not only go 8 points clear of Citeh, but also 5 points clear of the rest of the league.

    C'mon You Blues!

It is really terrible to see Fulham dropping so quickly. They were decent a couple of years ago when they still had Clint Dempsey.

Last season, they were relegated to the Football Championship and this year they have taken just 1 point of a possible 24 in their first 8 league matches. That dreadful start has them sitting bottom of the league. Could be League One next season.

Haven't payed in a little while.

Last Saturday we had a company outing at a local theatre to watch Chelsea win 3-0 over Villa. It was cool seeing the Blues on the big screen but I'm not sure if I'll do it again or not.

Midweek, Chelsea earned just the second win all time by an English club in Lisbon with their 1-0 victory over Sporting CP in the Champions League.

Today, Chelsea became the last remaining unbeaten team in the Premier League, beating ARSEnal 2-0. Additionally, Jose Mourinho remained unbeaten (7-5-0) against the "Specialist in Failure" ARSEne Wenger. It will be interesting to see if Wenger Wanger gets any shit from the FA for shoving Mourinho in the first half.

Already a big result for Chelsea this morning as West Ham beat City, 2-1. With the Blues playing at Old Trafford tomorrow, this result assures Chelsea of have at least a 3-point advantage over serving place tomorrow and possible a lead as big as 8 points.

    C'mon you Blues!

Edit: Southampton won today to move ahead of City. Chelsea will have a 3, 4 or 6 point lead depending on their result tomorrow. Better yet, a Chelsea win would sink United even deeper down the table.

Newcastle United got their first ever win at the Etihad today, eliminating Cup Holders Manchester City from the Capital One Cup 2-0.

Chelsea held on for a 2-1 win at Shrewsbury Town to advance to the League Cup Quarter Finals yesterday.

I'm glad I have BeIn Sports this year.

Comments from about a month ago: "Manchester United are back!11!!1!!"

Today's cold, harsh reality: 10th in the table with their worst start since 1986.

With today's 2-0 result over the Baggies, Chelsea are off to the 2nd best start in Premier League history (10-2-0). They are unbeaten through 12 matches in a top flight division for the first time in club history (1905) and are unbeaten in 20 matches across all competitions dating back to last season. Chelsea are now 67-17-1 at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League under Jose Mourinho the lone defeat coming late last season to Sunderland.

The Blues are 7 points clear of Southampton, who play Monday, and 8 points clear of Manchester City (their real competition) in the league table.

Big win for New England Revolution at New York today in the first leg of the MLS Eastern Conference Championship. Jermaine Jones scored the winner in the 85th minute.

The first leg of the Western Conference Championship between Seattle Sounders and LA Galaxy starts in 20 minutes on ESPN.

The Saints drew with Aston Villa today so, after 12 games, Chelsea are 6 points clear of Southampton, 8 points clear of Manchester City and 13 points clear of Manchester United and Newcastle United.

Suck it, Schalke. 3-nil to the Chelsea at halftime. A win for the Blues today gives them the group.

With the 5-0 win, Chelsea win the group and will be in the Round of 16. Their last group stage match is with Sporting Lisbon but it means nothing to Chelsea.

After a scoreless draw with Sunderland on Saturday, Chelsea are facing Spurs today in a London Derby without Diego Costa (accumulation of yellows). No trouble so far. 2-0 to the Blues behind goals from Hazard and Drogba as the second half kicks off.

Chelsea were 3-0 winners today over Spurs, while City kept pace with a 4-1 win over Sunderland. As expected, Southampton continues to slide, losing 1-0 to Arsenal.
