*ban* for posting this before pre-season is out ;)
lol @ Prime
haha i was just bustin ur balls, i usually like to post this once i get an auto commit ;) (didnt get one last year i dont think, but hope to get 1 or 2 this year)
FSU going heavy on OLBs and Safeties
FSU, who are you kidding. You'll post another thread with your first commitment because you'll be so happy you'll forget we already have one.
You've done that at least twice since I've known you ;)
i cant wait!
The Hokies get instant commits from two guys in week 1

We are very excited about Jamar playing CB for us next season. He is all-american talent that will definitley come in and help us out in the secondary.

I am now even more glad that I didn't recruit Leach in Week 1 :D
yea winning the acc and finishing 3rd in the country apparently did not impress recruits, pretty much no one in the top 150 has me listed at #1 lol
nice get on leech, glad i did not go for him either.
Whine, whine, whine.
I guess "I" really did get fired last year after the season ... my Program Stability has dropped like a rock to C+.
Man....my "add a stud cuz I can" CB didn't work out :-(
Yes we are very happy to pull in Leach. He will fit in nicely to our scheme but hopefully we return some of our guys from this year

Great nose for the ball, able to get off the blocks and bring a little pain. Good speed to add to it
PSU is going to in some long battles for recruits this year. It is scary as I have 16 that I'm targeting and another 8 that I'm trying to keep interested. If I don't land some quick instant commits I'm going to have to trim my board to a top 10 of gets and go hard after them. We'll see what this win does for PSU.
Just out of curiosity on last years class. How did the top players rate? I think I had the #1 Tackle (already signed when I took over) on the board and he came in at 81.
#3 TE came in at 76 overall with some great stats

all 3 OTs is signed were 77/76 overall.
DE who was a 4* 77 overall
OLB i turned to DE is a 79 overall monster
4* MLB 78 overall
#1 CB 5* CB 78 overall
I wonder if I can talk that TE into transferring. I would love to throw to him up the seam.
6'7 to ;)
im sure USC can target a similar prospect in the great state of california
If USC doesn't get soon start winning the big games they'll soon find themselves hanging around the UCLA's of the world. Good thing for USC there are a lot of kids that enjoy the sun to much to come play for a real program.
William Schroeder WR came in as a 79 ovr. 84spd, 85 agi, 85 acc, 77 cat, 89 spc, 88 cit, 80 rtr, and 88 release. I'm pretty happy with him. I couldn't redshirt him though because I promised him I wouldn't. I have him in about 6 different packages right now. He had 1 catch for a TD against USC.
I'm thinking ND too, I can't remember his name either for some reason. I'm going to check my notes to see if I had him listed anywhere. I don't think I did because I couldn't find a position for him really.
exv....I'm sure you have the #1 G (cpu kicked my butt for that Californian) and I had the #1 offensive tackle who came in at 80.
Gotcha - I do have a G that came in at an 80 overall. Pretty happy with the line that came in - T, 81 - G, 80 79 74.

I also got 3 X2s on some good players, i'll let papa sweat over who they were.
yea i think i got em once at the beginning of the year last year, hopefully this year its not a repeat ;)
I got x2 for two guys ... who I was calling for a combined 50 minutes. Ugh, what a waste.
I also got a whopping 9 on my final call ... Low Interest plus a D rating. W00t.
Chris Rice CB [4star] [espnu150] 6'0 183lbs Murray, UT
Rice is a solid pickup for the Badgers, especially considering he's their first of the year. After not signing a single ESPNU150 target last year, Wisconsin signs one in the third week of the season. With great, already developed talent, Rice will certainly see the field as a true freshman, possibly even starting but at the worst likely as a nickelback. He chose Wisconsin over offers from Oklahoma and Boise State.
C.J. Young http://www.thegamingtailgate.com/for...lies/3star.gif
* Height: 6'2"
* Weight: 175 lbs
* Hometown: Washington, DC

C.J. is a great addition to the FSU signing class, FSU does not have an immediate need at FS so CJ will be allowed to red shirt and develop physically before taking the field.

Choose PSU with an instant commit today.
Had offers from Florida State and USC as well.
booo, i hate instant commits ;0 nice pickup!
Thanks, I was getting worried (still am actually) that I haven't gotten that instant commit so getting one has eased my tension a little bit.
Phew ... very important instant for me.
Antwan Coley
#13 ATH
Troy, OH
6'3" 208 lbs
Athlete
4-star
A- ACC | C- CTH | C+ RTE
Not sure who Coley will represent, but it's pretty certain that he'll slide into a WR spot. The Buckeyes are big time thin at WR.
Jon Hunter
#6 QB | #118 OVR
[4star] [espnu150]
6'3" 204lbs
Fair Plain, MI
C+ SPD | C- AWR | B THP | B- THA
Hunter comes in practically ready to play the QB position, though the Badgers have young QBs already on campus. Hunters upside will most likely have him competing for the starting job after redshirting his first year on campus. Aside from Wisconsin, he received an offer from Auburn and interest from LSU & Nebraska.
Since I'm tying my 2012 recruits into the real-life 1997 recruits, I thought some of the rest of you might want to join the party. Here are some of the recognizable Top 100 recruits from that season:
3. Lavar Arrington, Pittsburgh LB 6-3 225
5. Travis Minor, Baton Rouge, La. RB 5-11 190
10. Leonard Davis, Wortham, Texas DL 6-5 330
18. Ken-Yon Rambo, Long Beach, Calif. WR 6-1 180
19. Rohan Davey, Hialeah, Fla. QB 6-3 210
25. Anthony Thomas, Winnfield, La. RB 6-1 235
36. Rodney Bailey, Lakewood, Ohio DL 6-5 260
37. Reggie Germany, Hazelwood, Mo. WR 6-2 175
65. Jamal Lewis, Atlanta RB 6-1 218
71. Eric Crouch, Millard, Neb. QB 6-0 190
81. Woodrow Dantzler, Orangeburg, S.C. QB 5-11 190
91. Antwaan Randle El (Thornton) QB 5-11 170
Noticeable omission to me, in hindsight ... no Major Applewhite.
I also can't fathom that Ohio State got two Top 40 WR recruits that year. I know I certainly can't.
Out of that list I would love to land a Lavar Arrington, Leonard Davis and Jamal Lewis.
Ditto on what Oneback said....plus give me Woody Dantzler
