For the stuff that relates to both. Looks like the case design has been revealed for both.

With the art of the X1 being more zoomed out, I wonder if they're sticking with DVD size cases rather than Blu-ray cases but for this image they just sized the cover art to be the same
Those crazy kids at Neogaf have taken that fake PS4 ad, which they created and run with it.

any "real" American would buy a console from an America based company. :P :D
Wtf kind of voting is that from IGN. IGN is anti xbox aren't they ? Stupid IGN. I will own both systems some day so it don't matter.
Michael Pachter is an idiot, but he has come out and said that XBOX One will cost $399, and PS4 will cost $349. Again, it's Pachter so take it for what it is worth.
He said it was based on estimated cost of each. XBOX One costing more to make.

Nah, they did exactly what I said they would do. Exclusive timed Call of Duty DLC, improvements to Live, and they're going to be coming out with Halo and supposedly a couple more exclusive shooters. If they're even close in price, I'd put money on them winning North America again. I'll get one when they inevitably get rid of the stupid listening Kinect.
Sony only recently overtook Microsoft globally, and they're still getting dominated in North America week in and week out. I just don't see Sony winning North America. Microsoft is focused on shooters and competitive online games, while Sony has a mix of everything. Americans really seem to love their shooters, so as long as that's Microsoft focus (and as long as they keep the DLC timed exclusive for Call of Duty), they'll win America.
Personally, I'd say it's going to be exactly the same this generation. Sony wins overseas. Microsoft wins in America.
I just know in the impending apocalypse, I won't be a sniper, gimme an assult rifle
Well if CLW is supplying the free PS4 or Xbox One, I'm in!
You guys keep forgetting I was forced to become a Democrat from December until April.
Got a new job but its much more low key and the salary reflects that. Dr. CLW will undoubtedly be the primary breadwinner from now until death do us part. Hell she nearly beat me last year when I was a really nice salary. I don't think Dr. CLW will approve of me supplying 2 console prizes. She's already fake scoffing at me wanting a PS4 @ launch.
:D
I just saw a stat the other day that showed last year 40% of the women in the household made more than the men! I was surprised. It's come up quickly.
CVG poll: PS4 four times more popular than Xbox One
A next gen console poll, taken by more than 5,000 CVG readers, suggests that Sony's PS4 is nearly five times more popular than Microsoft's Xbox One.
On Thursday CVG asked readers to declare whether they were intending to buy either Sony or Microsoft's next-generation game consoles. By Monday morning, more than 5,000 responded, with a clear majority (71%) declaring their interest in PS4.
By contrast, just 15 per cent of respondents said they were intending to buy an Xbox One. Six per cent said they intended to buy both machines, meaning that the combined PS4 price and Xbox One price will set customers back $900 or £780 at launch.
Meanwhile, nine per cent of respondents said they had no intention of buying either system (the majority claiming they would stick with their PCs, with some sticking with their Wii Us).
Microsoft has a tough launch period ahead of it as customers continually speak out against the machine's anti-pre-owned measures and always-online requirements. The survey data suggests that the issue could be affecting Microsoft in territories where it is strongest.
Despite the neck-and-neck global lifetime sales of the PS3 and Xbox 360 (both edging towards 80m units), the geo-breakdown of those numbers shows that Xbox's main business is in the US (40m) and UK (8m); two areas where it has been consistently dominant.
While PlayStation is hardly an insignificance in those two countries (about 25m sales in the US and 5m in the UK), it balances those numbers with a healthy business across Japan and other parts of Europe.
Sony has said the PS4 release date is set for "Christmas 2013" across Europe and the US. CVG understands the Japan launch could be pushed to 2014 if manufacturing count comes up short, though a final decision hasn't been made yet.
Microsoft has said the Xbox One release date is due for November.
By the way, finally coaxed one of the GS managers in my area to give up how many systems they're allotted for orders. According to him, they were allotted 25 PS4s for order and 8 Xbox One systems. He also mentioned that most GS stores around the country will have a similar 3:1 ratio in terms of available consoles. Kind of lends credit to that rumor that Microsoft was way behind in the in the development and manufacturing of their console.
Yeah, he told me this is going to be a nationwide thing with them, so it has to be the same everywhere else. The interesting thing is that Amazon is completely sold out of the launch day PS4s (and has been since the first 24 hours of the thing being announced) which apparently has a much larger stock available while the launch day Xbox is still available with a reportedly much smaller available units.
I wonder just how telling this will be on the first week/month of sales for the two.
According to all the sources I've read, Sony had a 2 or 3 year head start on Microsoft in developing and planning for this upcoming generation. I've also read numerous sources that Microsoft is having overheating problems and have had to under clock the system which would be another reason why they would be not confident they can supply as many consoles as launch.
All of those are from supposed inside sources and could be wrong, but having a 3:1 ratio certainly makes you think something is up.
I just wish a release date would be announced so I can take off two days :D
I GUARANTEE that it'll be released before Black Friday. No console have EVER been released in NA after the last week before Black Friday (November 19th or so). Black Friday is the biggest sales day on the planet. Both consoles will be out before that if they are going to come out in 2013.
