Romelu Lukaku scored his second hat trick, in as many home games with Wolves, as Wolverhampton got a 4-2 result over Bristol City on Tuesday night.
Elkeson, Leigh Griffiths, Danny Mantom, and Ravel Morrison each recorded an assist and Kieran Gibbs (33') joined Lukaku (45', 53', and 86') on the scoresheet with a brilliant diving header off of a corner. Lukaku's third goal was, perhaps, his finest to date. Wolves and their supporters have got to be feeling as though this team is destined to, at the very least, gain automatic promotion to the Premier League after Tuesday night's thrilling come-from-behind win at Nottingham Forest pushed their league record to 7-0-0.
Trailing 1-0 in the 90th minute, Leigh Griffiths, who came off the bench, took a pass from Fernando and struck from 14 yards to equalize. The Wanderers didn't stop there, however. Ravel Morrison had his 19-yard effort float in, after deflecting off of an opponent, in stoppage time, delivering the last-gasp winner.
