Thanks to whomever brought the FG attempts up to EA.
I was able to get a decent amount of blocks by watching the holders head movements and timing it from there. In the Demo this is fixed and he doesn't let on when the snap is about to happen.

Played one game earlier. I lost!!!! 10-3 to Alabama. The first play of the game (post return) the cpu RB goes 73 yards for a TD. I was stunned. Overall a fun game. I may use auto-sprint on during the actual games. The only thing I didn't like were the changes to the playcall screen re: scrolling for plays. Looking forward to a few more game stonight.
Haha yeah they need to adjust it. That, and when I usually get hit while throwing, the ball just pops out and goes to the ground like 3 feet in front of me. I saw where that RB tried to do that. I feel like the RB's try to go to the sidelines much too often instead of cutting back underneath defenders. Maybe he was trying to eat clock, it there was still quite a bit of time left.
Another thing I noticed is that from the time the kickoff play is picked to the time the cpu kicks the ball off, if we are using custom sounds it looks like we are going to have all of 2 seconds to hear our music. Here's to hoping this is only because its a demo.

Stumbled upon this play on and its a broken play every time and the defenders don't even come after the quarterback.
It only took me 4 hours yes, I said 4 hours to download the demo. Geesh thanks AT&T. This with a 6 mb connection. Installing it as we speak. Now to throw in a dip of grizzly and hit the sticks.
cut scenes of the coach are fine because you can see the coach you created, but all this talk all year of band locations and crap and it seems a waste to me to see these end of qtr scenes of some silly swaying band guys in generic team colors..it really adds nothing to the experience.
LOL I never said they were random and what does being a game changer have to do with being unprofessional at putting together a sub par radio show ? I listened, I thought it was silly and never went in a meaningful direction, just guys messing around on the internet. if you are going to let the public hear your voice, try,try,try to sound like you know what you are doing.

havent gone through all 15 pages, but i really like how shifting your linebackers, moves their zones around on the field.

Took me about 10 minutes, maybe a little less, around 10am this morning.
Nice. Just threaded the needle on a pass inside the 10 yard line. Four defenders playing zone, threw a bullet right into the tiny ass hole to my receiver in between all four and waltzed in for the touchdown.
Oh yeah, 7 for 7 when it comes to returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown. :D
I haven't noticed myself tackling any different. I have always been a hit stick guy and I haven't seen myself whiffing on any tackles yet. This was something heading into the demo that I was interested in given the feedback and vids we saw.
What are the community day group seeing when it comes to using the hit stick vs the tackle button? When compared to what you saw down at EA.
I had a terrible game as FSU against Alabama due largely in part to whiffing on hit-stick tackles. Gave up an 87-yard screen pass for a touchdown because I tried to hit-stick with two defenders and missed badly. It's not as though you can't defend if you don't use the tackle button; just that the CPU will take advantage if you're hit-sticking and missing more than in past games.
I've been a whiffing machine on tackles and it's 100% because the suction is gone. I'm one of the people that never pressed square/x or used the hit stick. I always mash the hell out of the L1/LB button trying to strip the ball and I've been missing a lot because I guess I'm used to the offensive player getting sucked into my defender.
Thanks paakaa I'm only about 4 games in but I went from having this as a big worry for my defense to feeling a whole lot better already about it.
Saw the CPU defense with 11 seconds left come out in a zone cover 2 and I was in 5 wide and I just hot routes my right slot to a streak because he was uncovered, result a TD because there wasn't anyone within 20 yds of him. The SS covered the in route from the TE
Can some of the guys who have both consoles please make clear what is so different about the ps3 version? Also is TGT getting the ps3 or 360 version tomorrow?
Just wish the CPU would have came out and protected deep on that play but they didn't for some reason.

Mostly PS3 versions
Game two and I lose again... 10-0 for Oregon. Oregon scores a td with 36 seconds left in the game. My passing game is pretty bad and it sure is a lot harder to run. I will say this though... those LEAPING LB's are NOT a thing of the past. Also, I am still seeing DB's run the routes in front of the recievers... that is still a huge frustration for me. However, far better challenge than last years game so far IMO.
To be honest--despite all the noise about the PS3 looking worse than the 360 version--I haven't really seen anything to make me feel that way. Now, I only own a PS3 so I don't have a 360 to compare it to right now, but all but one of my games at the Community Events were played on a 360 so I do have experience playing on both consoles.
I'm getting a PlayStation 3 copy of the retail game tomorrow; I don't know what console the other guys are getting.
After a couple games:
-Pass blocking needs just a little tweaking. Too much pressure too quickly and too often for my taste.
-Liking the cpu run game a little better but still dont have a great feel for that.
-Returns obviously need work.
-Excited for tomorrow! :-)

One other small thing that has been with this series for long enough is plays where u cause a fumble from a sack or anywhere else. On the screen it says DT 92 with a -7 UF TD return or something along those lines. Can anyone explain why this happens?
I know we have all seen it on kick or punt returns to where it says -65yd return and such. I'm just lost as to why this still happens and there may be a good reason that I'm clueless about as well right now. Just not sure, anyone care to chime in?
To the people that give a damn about it, yes it does. When I go into Ohio Stadium and I see TBDBITL in the right location ... no, it's not the end of the world if it was wrong, but it's a nice nod to the hardcore community when it's right.
You know I'm fine with criticism, but it'd be nice if you didn't outright bash guys making an effort for the community. Just ease up a little. I'm sure they weren't remotely as bad as some people I've heard on the radio (namely myself), nor as bad as your comments make them sound.
There are people who have said, since Day One of next gen NCAA, that it "looks the same as PS2". :smh:
