To be honest there are a million games that are on the current gen systems using 8 and 16-bit graphics, so that stuff doesn't bother me.
With that said :sf: I might be on tonight after the NBA Draft.

Double XP weekend. Just a reminder in case you want to level up and unlock those Jasons.
I'm at 25 so I'm going to try to get to 31 to unlock Part 9. That'll give me every unlockable character.
It's about to start. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ec6a49808b.jpg
A chance I'll be on Saturday night...

No survivors as I play as Savini Jason. I get 7 kills and 1 injured counselor jumps from a second story window to his death which technically counts as a suicide.

Not much info but it's some info.

Another patch is live on PS4. Should get rid of most, if not all, glitching.

The game is $35.99 In the PlayStation Store if anyone is interested. I think it's part of the sale that ends 8/1.
Well worth it at that price! This game owned my life for the first month it was released. Unfortunately I haven't been able to play in a while due to work, which has basically killed my gaming time entirely (I don't remember if I've even put any gaming time in for the entirety of July), but I am itching to get back to bashing Jason in the head with a baseball bat as soon as I can actually return to a semi-normal gaming life.
Yeah, I still intend to get that back up and running.
There have been some changes at work. While I'm currently doing a midday air shift that ties up any time before 4pm, I no longer have to work on Saturdays (my last Saturday air shift was this past weekend), so I now have a true 48 hour weekend every Saturday and Sunday.
So I hope to take advantage of my free weekends now to get my dynasty fired back up. And now I'll finally be able to watch the damn noon college football games on Saturdays for the first time in 9 years! :)
And agreed, with the massive void left by the demise of the NCAA series, I have tried many different games and series that I probably never would have touched if NCAA was still around. So I suppose some good came from its demise. I have discovered great new games, new series, new studios whose games and work I really enjoy.

Now Gun has revealed to GamesIndustry.biz that within two months the game has managed to sell over 1.8 million units.
Gun Media boss and Friday the 13th co-creator Wes Keltner tells me, "This entire project has been a huge learning experience for both Gun and Illfonic. We will be the first to admit that we weren't ready for the huge influx of players that hit us day one.
"We looked at our player numbers from the beta, along with pre-orders and then added a 30% cushion. That's how we set up our servers and database for launch. We were soooo wrong. 100,000 players hit us in the first 20 minutes, and our servers melted. Our first weekend was chaos. The entire team slept at their desks trying to keep up with demand. It's an experience I'll never forget. With our small budget, we couldn't afford a large scale QA effort. We did a PC beta, and gleaned a lot of great data from that. But again, we weren't ready for the tidal wave of players."
Keltner won't share the exact budget, but he notes, "The total we spent creating this game, would only cover half the animation budget for AAA games. But we made the most with what we had. As for being profitable, we were in the black quickly. However, we have reinvested that profit directly back into F13 in the form of new content (maps, characters, etc) and our ongoing server costs."

Yeah, I wouldn't mind some bigger maps. Make both the hunt as Jason and the survival as counselor a bit more interesting.

We really need to get a TGT night on this game, lol.
Sadly the group I was running with back when this first came out seems to have died out. I still see 2 or 3 on from time to time, but there used to be 10+ of us on every night, and if you weren't on early enough, you had to wait for a spot to open up to get an invite into the party.
It seems like since mid to late June, those numbers started dying off and never recovered.

I could be wrong (I'm not CLW, after all) but I just don't think this game is going to get a price drop any time soon.
The game is $40 and was made for about $2M. In the first 2 months the game sold 1.8M copies putting at least $72M in the coffers. With the team's dedication to adding to the game and an enormous amount of cash to do so, they will be adding alot to this title.
Aside from the content in the video above, single player is coming soon. With everything that will be getting added (maps, Jasons, counselors and MAYBE even modes) I don't think there will be much motivation or need to lower the price.
Yeah, unfortunately I don't think we have a large amount of people who have it. But worse case, I can get a group or 3 or 4 of us together and then use randoms from the public lobbys for the remaining spots.
Or if any of us have friends with the game on at the time, we could try to get them invited in and help fill the group.

I don't know what night works for you guys, but my availability is 5-10pm EST Monday-Thursday, 10:30pm EST and later Friday nights, pretty much any time on Saturdays and any time before 10pm EST on Sundays.
I'll obviously not be online all those times, but I'll almost always be at home during those time frames and would be available to fire up my PS4 and jump on for some Jason dueling. I think I have steelers' and maybe JB's phone numbers from when we would chat via cell bluetooth while playing SW Battlefront, so all I'd need is a text about starting up a group to jump on.

I'm game as well. Usually free after 8 PM CT or so.

I'll probably be home for the next week or so because of this fucking hurricane but I'm not sure if I'll have power very much. If you guys want to play one night let me know and I'll play if I have electricity.
Live stream from PAX West tonight. Undoubtedly, new content will be discussed.

Edit: My bad. It's next Saturday.
V1.08 with smaller maps is live.
It also addresses team killing:
But by far the biggest change that shipped with the patch is the removal of team killing from the game. Since the game’s release, team killing has plagued the currently multiplayer-only game as Counselors attacked each other and ruined players’ games. Sometimes it was motivated by groups of players working with the Jason to boost each others’ scores while other times it was done entirely out of spite.
Regardless of the reasons, team killing is dead and gone except for a few situations. Cars can still kill teammates, and friendly beartraps can lead to an untimely death, but players won’t be penalized for allies walking into their traps.
Some speculation came out last week that a future update may include rain on some maps.
As an early backer, I got a survey shortly after launch with a list of about 20 things asking to pick one to add. One of the options was dynamic weather.
There's alot of confirmed content coming soon. New counselors, new map, new Jason, new counselor clothing (paid DLC), new kills and more.
Obviously, that video is showing that they are adding weather effects (wind, rain, thunder, lightning) but I thought I should mention exactly what else you're seeing for those who aren't big fans of the franchise.
The two houses shown are from Part 4. One is the Jarvis house the other is the one next door where the kids were partying. The Jason shown is also from Part 4.
