I did not miss the point. You are changing it now though. It all started by someone saying there are more annoying people in the NFL RIGHT now and E said Lewis. I asked what was wrong with him and you bring up shit from his past. Now you are saying you have no problem with him in the past 5 or so years besides being a Raven, then how is he more annoying now than Tebow? Also, you think Tebow is the only person in the NFL who does good things? Definitely not, but he is damn sure one of the first ones to let everyone know what he does that is good. And now you edit something about Dunn, but make sure you put something about him being a Seminole but the main things you put that you hate about Lewis are the teams he has played for? It is okay for you to not like someone for a team they play for, but not anyone else?
Not changing anything, I listed 3 things about Lewis that I did not like. As a Steeler fan, I do not care for the Ravens. As a Sooner fan, I am not a Hurricane fan. As a person who does not murder people, I do not care for murderers. I stuck Warrick in because he is commonly known for all his charitable deeds and that he was one of the good guys. Just trying to cover all the Florida schools. Ray has changed as a person, as best I can tell but that does not change his past.
No.
I said that I am indifferent to his overtly christian gestures. The fact that I can't tell if he's your youth minister or one of the Village People has nothing to do with it.
I'm no more bothered by his jesus peddling than I am by any other player doing a sack dance or whatever.
I can tell you're an OS reject. :fp:

You nailed it!

Wow, all of this over a shitty player than can't even complete 50% of his passes.
Who has a Heisman, a National Title and currently a 6-2 record as a starter the past two years. I could give two shits how many of his passes are completed with that kind of record. Plus have you looked at the Bronco receiving core? Can you name three of them, including TE's.
Fuck it, arguing with a bunch of atheists is a waste of time.
I'm agnostic, thank you.
And Tebow is 5-3, not 6-2.

I hated the guy in college and I hate the praying. What ruined me is seeing him doing some ministry and he sound like a televangelist. ....it made me sick.
Now, in the pros I want him to succeed just to shut the mouths of all the 'experts' on ESPN!

I do think a lot of hate comes from people who aren't religious. The lack of respect in this thread towards Christianity bothers me.
I don't know if I'm one of the people you think are showing a lack of respect towards Christianity but let me assure you that is not my intent. I have trouble with Tebow and his over-the-top antics.
I have trouble with the praying b/c don't understand it. What exactly do people pray for when they score a TD? ...'thanks for making me a winner and the other team losers'?

So I should have respect for a religion that has people killing other people in it's name nearly every day? The bloodiest wars and genocides in the history of humanity have been done in the name of one fictional god or another. Excuse me if I'm not kind about a religion with so many innocent people's blood on it's hands.
The lack of respect in this thread towards Agnosticism bothers me.

I don't personally think he's calling attention to himself when praying but I absolutely agree with you in disliking players who thank God for a victory. God doesn't play favourites in sports. It's silly.
No question bad things have happened in history as a result of religious wars. But so many good things have happened as well. South Africa had Bishop Desmond Tutu lead a religious movement that allowed the black and white community to come together with no bloodshed. The church has done many good things. That can't be ignored. You also can't ignore the horrible things atheist leaders have done in this world either.
If you are an atheist or agnostic I'm not going to bother you but you should show some respect for people that do believe. You may not believe this but people are entitled to different opinions and we can peacefully co-exist.
It would probably be best if we discontinued this discussion.

Again, all of this over a shitty football player. :fp:
Nevermind, I'm done.
Anyways... BACK ON THE TOPIC OF THE NFL...
I will be very intertested to see how Tebow and the Broncos do against stronger competition. They have played some pretty weak teams lately and were blown out against a good team. I'm not impressed by Teboew as much as I am by Denver's upstart defense. Love Tebow or hate him, it's still a fascinating story.
Not sure what this play call was :D

Snaggle tooth.
Broncos waived Orton. Looks for the Chiefs, Bears, and/or Texans to claim him. Not sure about the Dolphins anymore after the trade talks fell through.

Orton got cut. With all the QB injuries out there Denver is looking to save 2.6 million if someone claims him.
Haha I like those memes JB
I feel for Orton. The kid plays hard and does what he can with the skill he has. I wish him the best of luck BACK in Chicago but I suspect the fans will get on him quick.
I don't think the fans will hate on Orton too bad. He's been gone awhile and fans are far more critical of starting QBs they think stink. Stopgaps and backups are given more leeway. They will live with him until Cutler returns.
As a Bears fan, I never hated Orton.
Bears (who are 30th in the waiver order) did make a claim on him. It's unknown if the Chiefs (who are 9th in the waiver order) are going to want to make the claim and pay him $2.5M. The Texans seem all but out of it because they don't have the cap space and don't want to make moves to accommodate it.
According to Shefty:
Kyle Orton was claimed on waivers -- by a still unidentified team before Chicago.
Chiefs claimed Orton...
Bears signed Josh McCown to backup Hanie. Great pickup (in terms of a solid backup), has a great knowledge of Martz' type of offense.
I understand Suh is frustrated, but he has to control his emotions. He is unfortunately earning his rep as a dirty player.

Wow. That's some shit. I didn't get to see it live, but that's pretty fucked up. He clearly meant to step on him even though he says that he didn't. Definitely some seriously dirty play, but, at the same time, that type of stuff happens ALL the time it's just rarely caught in the scrum of players. Suh is getting the Terrell Owens treatment of everyone paying the attention to the smallest detail of his actions.
