That's some great stuff. Video game creators always have really interesting shit like that in their game. Never knew that thing about Braid. That's especially interesting. That just makes that game that much more fucked up.

Join Amazon, at least from them you can make 10$ in credit on some items. I made 20$ off buying L.A. Noire and I got it a dollar below retail price lol.

This. I got $25 in credit for pre-ordering Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 and then got $20 in credit from L.A. Noire, as well getting it a dollar below retail. Sitting there running those credits from one purchase to the next, depending on what games you buy and what kind of pre-order credits are offered with them, you could go the entire year never paying full price for a game, but instead paying anywhere from $10 to $25 off the retail price.

That too! For me, I usually only have one coming out at a given time, so I just string my credits from one to the next, but you could pretty much get a game for free if someone were to do like you mention and rack up a couple credits at the same time.

I'm doing like you Smooth, L.A. Noire was my first ever Amazon purchase and I'm hooked after that 20$ credit. Now I'm like a crack fiend looking for the next gaming deal I can find :D. So next up I'll buy NCAA Football from them using my credits if NCAA comes with some credits. If not I'll go and get NCAA for the midnight release and then get Madden and get the 20$ credit for it! :)):easy:

The only thing that bugs me about Amazon is the fact they rarely ever offer gift card promotions on collector's editions, even though they would be the most logical choice to add the promotional credit onto. Oh well, I'm hoping and praying they do for the Gears 3 Epic Edition. If they don't, I guess I'll still live.

I have been, but I've been getting frustrated with how annoying it is to try to play a damn PG in the game... Gah, it's annoying (ESPECIALLY playing with the dumb ass computer controlled Orlando Magic players where they jack up some of the dumbest 3-point shots known to man).

Yeah, dunno why they wanted to change the whole formula. The way the game played was a hell of a lot better to me than 2K (I bought it then traded it for NBA Live) They should have just kept perfecting what they had...no need to shoot with the damn joystick and other stuff lol.

Only Doom 2 can still get my blood pumping when I run into a Cyberdemon that I know full well is there but then teleports right next to me because I forgot there is a hidden teleporter and totally kicks me ass. God they just don't make games like they used to...

No they don't. Games these days are made to simply be accessible and playable by the lowest common denominator.

And, they are made as quickly as possible. It's ridiculous the turnaround time for some games. Like everything else, the game market is utterly saturated with game developers that don't know dick about making a game truly good and barely have the programmers to pull the game off. It's disgusting the amount of money that is spent on 50% of these games that then are utter trash.

I've never played a Tomb Raider game more than just a demo's worth but I have to say, this one at least has my attention. If no other reason than because of Uncharted and what it's done.

I've played through and beaten Tomb Raider 1, 2, 3, Legend, and Anniversary. I've never gotten around to Underground unfortunately but the Tomb Raider series is one of my favorite franchises. I somehow forgot they were making a new game because there hasn't been much press on it but I'm all in on this.
