:D Yeah, I was just hoping to run down the clock with one more play before kneeling. Then he broke loose and went untouched. Like I said, in the end, I came to the conclusion that it was a great way to let out some frustrations from the season. :D

Also, I made a change starting in the Mid Tennessee State game, that I just went back and changed retroactively to all of my games from this season. I don't know why I didn't give it any thought until this final game of the season, but I have gone back through and moved my final score section to the end of the Games Notes section. That way the people who like reading the game notes, they won't know the actual results of the game until they get to the end, rather than already know the final score and then start reading the game notes.
Also, for the record JerzeyReign, looking back through the Bowl Projections in-game, there are only 34 bowl games, with only 68 spots for us 73 teams with a 5-6 or better record to fight over. The Pinstripe Bowl isn't in the game since EA doesn't have the rights to use Yankee Stadium (2K Sports has the rights). So I'm in even more danger of potentially ending up in the cold depending on the action of week 15, with two less spots for teams to get in.
However, depending on how week 15 plays out, I am currently projected to end up in the New Mexico Bowl against Kent State. So we'll see. Starting week 15 simulations shortly after I finish up recruiting.
Simming through week 15 right now, things are looking up. Nevada beat Idaho 17-13 to drop the Vandals to 5-7. USF beat West Virginia 38-10 to drop the Mountaineers to 5-7. Down to 71 teams for 68 spots. Nice! 4-7 Hawaii gets a 35-28 upset to knock BYU out with a 5-7 record. 70 teams left fighting for 68 spots.
Navy is the last and final 5-6 team. So at least 1 team for sure is going to be left out, two teams if Navy wins. Wow. Army barely beats Navy, 17-16 on a field goal with 13 seconds left. Navy drops to 5-7. 69 teams are bowl eligible at 6-6 or better. 68 bowl spots. Someone is going to get screwed.
And the 2011 Sun Belt Champions are... Troy! Troy was up 10-7 after one quarter, 31-17 at halftime, 31-20 after 3, and dumped 17 points on Arkansas State in the 4th quarter to win 48-20. With a conference record of 7-1, Troy takes home the Sun Belt title.
This week’s national games of note, #2 Boise State guaranteed themselves a spot in the National Championship game, beating New Mexico 45-3 to end a perfect 12-0 regular season. #5 Oklahoma State wrapped up their Big 12 title, defeating Oklahoma 41-34 to end the year 11-1. #14 TCU ended the year 10-2 after a 41-0 win over UNLV. #18 Pittsburgh ends their year 10-2 with a 35-10 victory against Syracuse, and #22 USF wraps up a 10-2 season with a 38-10 win over West Virginia.
The number of undefeated teams this week remains at 3. Left among the undefeated teams, #1 Alabama at 12-0, #2 Boise State at 11-0, and #18 Houston at 12-0. Based on this week's results, the National Championship right now would be between Alabama and Boise State if the season ended, Oregon would still be on the outside looking in at #3.
As for conference races nationally, in the ACC, in the Atlantic Division, #6 Florida State is your Atlantic Division winner at 7-1. Coastal Division, #17 Miami (FL) is the division winner at 7-1. It’ll be the Battle of Florida for the ACC Championship. The Big 12, while technically #5 Oklahoma State and #16 Texas A&M share the title at 8-1, Oklahoma State defeated Texas A&M, so Oklahoma State takes home the title as far as I’m concerned. The Big East, both Pittsburgh and USF share 6-1 records, but Pittsburgh beat USF earlier in the season. Pitt’s your champs.
The Big Ten, in the Leaders Division, #15 Wisconsin is your division champ at 7-1. The Legends Division goes to #4 Nebraska, who in their first year in the Big Ten, goes 8-0 in conference play. So the inaugural Big Ten Championship game will be between 10-2 Wisconsin and 11-1 Nebraska. C-USA, in the East Division, Southern Miss is your division winner with an 8-1 record. In the West Division, Houston takes the division crown with a perfect 9-0 mark. Southern Miss and Houston will battle for the C-USA crown. Independents, Army is the lone team with a winning record, going 8-4. In the MAC, in the East Division, Miami University and Temple share 7-1 records, but Miami beat Temple head to head. The Redhawks win the division. The West Division will be represented in the MAC title game by Central Michigan, sitting on top at 6-2.
The Mountain West will go to #2 Boise State, who ended the year a perfect 7-0. In the PAC-12, the North Division, the #3 Oregon Ducks are your division winners at 9-0. In the South Division, Arizona, the surprise champion, at 6-3. 8-4 Arizona will travel to 11-1 Oregon for the inaugural Pac-12 championship game. In the SEC, in the East Division, South Carolina is your division champs with a 5-3 record. In the West Division, #1 Alabama is your division winner at 7-0. It will be South Carolina and the Crimson Tide battling in the SEC Championship game. And in the WAC, Fresno State claims the WAC championship with a 6-1 record.
Hey now. :(
I have one more conference championship game to simulate, the good old MAC. Right now, looking at the bowl projections, I'm now projected to play in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl vs. USC. :( Can I please go back to the New Mexico Bowl? I'll gladly play Kent State. Much better than trying to play the freaking USC Trojans. :smh:
Conference Championship Week Equals Upsets! The upset by South Carolina now means that it will be the new #1 Boise State (12-0) vs. the new #2 Oklahoma State (11-1) battling for the BCS National Championship game.

That sucks man, but it was always my luck with SAU the first year in both 09 and 10. First season, we'd get matched up with a powerhouse team in the bowl game after eeking out a 6-6 or 7-5 season only to get destroyed.
Yeah, even worse, this was pretty much my only chance these three years I'm under contract of actually making a bowl game, much less winning one. Come the offseason, I'm getting slaughtered at QB, HB, FB, losing my best WR (12 points better then the 2nd stringer), TE, RG, RE, and SS. The massive amounts of OVR and experience lost with my outgoing seniors is going to be hard as hell to overcome next season.

And the winner of the "Got Screwed Out of a Bowl Game" contest is...
:Bowling_Green:
The Bowling Green Falcons, 6-6 (4-4) for the season, end up the odd man out in the game of musical bowls. 68 bowl slots, 69 eligible teams, the BGSU Falcons get screwed.
Other bowl news, the Mountain West, thanks to Boise State, crashes the BCS Title Game. If Boise State wins the national championship, I may make the Mountain West an automatic qualifier next season. I'll have to think about it. And Conference-USA crashes the BCS party, with SMU representing in the Orange Bowl against Miami (FL), despite having not even played in Conference-USA championship game. God bless going 11-0 to start the season and getting high in the top 10 before losing.
In one of my simmed seasons, it was SMU vs TCU in the BCS Title Game. I had to laugh as I only wish something that amazing happened in real life, but the SEC Commissioner, Big Ten Commissioner, and the PAC-12 Commissioner would put too much money in someone's pocket to make that not happen.
The teams I'm rooting for
:Southern_Miss: - Naturally
:FIU: - I'm hoping for a "moral victory"
:LSU: - Living in Baton Rouge, things are better here in the city when they win
:Boise_State: - Because that would just be awesome
