Article on Sony's explanation of why they keep verbally smacking MS around in their press conferences:

I will judge it when I get my hands on it. The analog sticks look weird (and will be weird, because I don't care what anyone says, having them right next to each other is HORRIBLE for shooters), and while I appreciate they finally curved the triggers, it doesn't look like they're curved enough. Time will tell, but it should be a lot better than the miserable excuse for a controller we've had the past 7 years either way.
Gamescom: PS4 Gets 33 Games in 2013, 180 in Development
That’s a whole lot of games.

Most of them are on the One or already available on PC. Of their actual exclusive launch titles, Killzone is the only one I'm interested in, even if it unfortunately looks like KZ3 in the online videos they've shown. I'll try Drive Club since it'll be on Plus, but other than that, I'm severely underwhelmed by their exclusive titles. Next year looks better with inFAMOUS and The Order 1886, though.
Side note, why the hell is everything coming out next year? Destiny, Titanfall, inFAMOUS, The Order 1886, Halo whatever, etc...
I mean, come on, space them out a LITTLE.
The lineups by and large are a matter of personal tastes and by and large exactly the same with so.... few exclusives. Me there isn't a SINGLE XB1 exclusive title I'm even remotely interested in. It's not fanboyism. I'm simply not interested in ANY FPS for ANY console. Most of XB1s exclusives are FPS and Ryse doesn't look that appealing to me. Forza looks sharp but racing games don't do much for me anyways.
CLW, you would probably know??? For the playstation store if we can use our ps3 account for our ps4 as well, then does that mean that any $$$$ balance we have with ps3 will be transferable to ps4? I would assume that will be but I have not heard anything definitive.
It will transfer and be usable on all systems. I use the same account on my PS3 and Vita and when money is added/used, it's updated real time on both.
I have had the same 5.00 on my ps account for about 6 years.
I get emails from time to time telling me to spend on it., LOL
PlayStation 4 Can Be Turned on Remotely

Sony's Jim Ryan: Giving Away FIFA 14 on Day One is "Rather Odd'
Ryan says there is no need for Sony to offer a direct equivalent to Microsoft's FIFA 14 pre-order deal.
Quote:
"It varies from retailer to retailer and it varies from country to country, but I’m not hearin’ of too many places at all – at all – where they’re ahead of us."

Yeah its a really COOL feature. However, the "problem" with digital purchases is you are not compensated for your loss of ability to resell the game back. In order for the digital market to really take off (and kill the used game "problem") digital game prices simply have to be LESS than physical copies. I'd have to think about it but my gut tells me the sweet spot would be $45-$50 for Day 1 content downloads.
That gives you $10-$15 "discount" for losing the ability to trade it in. Most of my trades ins on average are right about there (some more some less).
You drop the price to $45 and I probably buy ALL of my games via phone/app/pre-order from PSN. (assuming HDD space isn't an issue)
Well, this works for PSN games, and PS+ freebies I assume. That way I can have them start downloading while I'm at work and they're ready to go when I get home.
I doubt I buy much retail digitally. I'll get most of my games through Amazon and Gamefly like I did on PS3/360.
