Still four too many KC players...

Altuve is starting at 2B for the AL, as it should be. I guess JB says, "Po-TAHHH-toe" after all.
PS Jeff, I read that article the day you posted it. I just realized that I never thanked you for doing so. Thank you, good sir.
Matt Harvey looks ten years older than he is. I don't remember him looking like that when he first came up. I watched a bit of his last start and he looks close to retirement!
It is really going to be fascinating to see what the next several years bring for the Astros. So far, I'm 100% on board with what the Front Office is doing.
A few years ago, I wasn't. When they traded Pence I thought they were giving up too early on such a young stud and wasn't ready to accept a complete teardown. My biggest fear was becoming the Pirates. 20 years of losing because you constantly screw up the draft. The SI article last year tipped the scale for me and I have a surplus of trust in Luhnow & Co. now.
Of course a KC player is leading the last vote for the AL :fp:
I ended up dealing him for Gio, Zimmerman and Tomas.
I'm on the cusp of winning big money and I needed more SP and OF depth.
I think I addressed that with both.
I still have Wheeler, Gray and Minor as my SP keepers for next season so I think I'm good as far as pitchers go for 2016.
Well, JB, your man finally got in. Due to injury.

I leave Houston and the Astros fall apart.
The Derby was completely entertaining tonight. My girlfriend hardly ever watches baseball and enjoyed it.
The rule changes for it were definitely for the better, and the event was only 2.5 hours compared to about 4.5 last year.
All-Star Game
Altuve - 0 for 2
Dozier - 1 for 1 HR
;)
Well, that settles it.
Spoiler: show
The Astros acquired Scott Kazmir from the A's for 2 prospects that I'm not even very familiar with. Hell yeah.
Also, I acquired Kazmir in my Franchise on The Show recently so I just sent my application to Major League Baseball to become a script writer. The first thing I'm going to write into this season's script is having Mike Trout and Albert Poo Holes get caught after they murder ram. That should clear the path for the Astros to win the division.
WOW. Dodgers have let teams know that Yasiel Puig is available for trade. Outside of tonight, the Cubs have needed a bat to boost the offense.
Probably won't happen for Chicago as they're still focused on pitching.
Another WOW. Tulo traded to the Blue Jays for Jose Reyes and minor leaguers.
Holy shit, the Rockies actually pulled the trigger. I hope it was worth it in the end, they better have gotten a good haul for essentially the franchise player.
So the Rockies pretty much got fleeced. Hopefully Reyes and CarGo can both bring in some minor hauls, make this all worth it.
The Rockies are in full sell mode and CarGo is gonna probably be next to go. He has been one of the hottest bats since the All-Star Break.
Supposedly, the Astros are making a "major push" for Cole Hamels.
So Rotowire has stats for a shit load of players, and had none for one of the pitchers the Rockies got in the Tulo trade. He must have been in the California Penal League :D
Yeah, CarGo I've expected to be moved this entire time. He was one of the most likely trade candidates for the Rockies all season. Tulo had been rumored all season as a potential trade to the Mets, maybe the Yankees, but this trade was out of nowhere. Blue Jays were never mentioned as a possible destination and it happened so suddenly after recent comments by the Rockies front office that they weren't outright shopping Tulo.
:fp: Should have worked out one of those forever rumored trades with the Mets. At least they have worthy pitching prospects. Hopefully Reyes is worth something. Rockies will probably try to ship Reyes right back out since they have Trevor Story at shortstop in the minors and he has been tearing it up in AAA this season.
Price now a Jay.
Guess it's time to embrace my inner Blue Jays fan.
Astros get Gomez and Fiers from Brewers for Phillips, Santana, Hader and Houser.
Rumors swirling that the Astros are close to a deal to send Marisnick and Appel to the Padres for Kimbrel and Ross.
Cubs are also being talked about for Kimbrel and Ross.
Cubs made a deal for Dan Haren today as well.
Mets finally get the bat they desperately need in Cespedes from the Tigers.

The Astros have guaranteed themselves a 163rd game. It could be a tiebreaker against the Angels for the last Wildcard spot; it could be a tiebreaker against the Rangers for the division; it could be a Wildcard game against the Yankees (either city could host depending on results tomorrow).
Hope they can get into a division series but it's been a great year either way.
