Arkansas is getting new uniforms next season. They haven't been debuted yet but according to recruits that have been shown them there is an alternative black/grey uniform to go along with the traditional red and white. Who knows if that is an actual uniform or one of those samples Nike sends that they are just telling recruits will be worn.

Those Rutgers unis are pretty nice. I don't like the black stripes, in one of the pics, on the front of the helmet though.

It appears the earlier rumors of all new uni's for UH may have been in error, if these pics taken during a recent 2012 UH Football poster shoot are any indication.

The "HOUSTON" text is much larger than before, the "wet cat" logo on the hip appears to have been replaced with a red UH logo, and the new helmet is candy apple red, but other than that our uni seems pretty much unchanged.
Those Rutgers uniforms are terrible.

For me, it depends on whether or not it's creative / smart / logical, or if it's just a fad / cash in. Some schools toe the line very carefully. The Air Force Academy had those special Thunderbirds and 9-11/Flag helmets a few years ago. Those were badass, and I wouldn't mind if they did something like an American flag field (as ridiculous as it would look). Because it's creative and makes sense for the AFA.
I don't mind the Sun Devils helmets above if that's just an affect of the lighting. It doesn't actually look chrome, outside of where the flash/light was. It could just be a normal red helmet with the metallic flecks. I don't mind that, in fact I love it.
Colored fields aren't something I'm totally against, except in the case of UMD's potential black field. That shit is just stupid. Design is cool, black is stupid.

Actually they're saying that it's copper. From that pic it doesn't look copper. I guess we'll find out if/when they wear them. Supposedly they're supposed to have copper jerseys added this year as well.Quote:

You can sort of see the copper look. Put your fingers over the light reflections on the front and top of the helmet in the picture and, at least to me, there is definitely a copper hue that stands out on the helmet.Quote:

Bowling Green with new helmets. It's tough to tell from the pic, but it looks like it now is matte orange and facemask is brown. It looks like the center stripe may be different, but I can't tell for sure.

Like you said, much better than throwing in colors that aren't a part of the official school colors. Supposedly there was or is talk of maybe some new uniforms. I don't know if it was just simply fans wondering or hope for some new uniforms to go with the new helmets or if the school has uniforms planned and will unveil them later this summer, or in the next year or two.
