Just posted my two cents in another thread..why name this game now knowing we have been geographically linked since 1868? Then name it the "Heroes Game"...really? Ugh...

You know the thing I loved most about the Oklahoma/Nebraska rivalry was that there was no need for a trophy or a bucket or a pig or gold hat, etc, etc and it did not have to be called anything but OU-Nebraska or Nebraska-OU, depending on that side if the fence you were sitting on. It was that big and meant so much because it practically determined the Big 8 Champion each year.
Let's just hope you can find the room for us in 2020-2021and bring back what was once the Greatest Rivalry in football.
I'll be honest; I REALLY do not like Nebraska, so I am one of the few fans of a Big 10 team (especially a Penn State fan) that is very disappointed that Nebraska is in the conference.
But, like it or not, you guys are here and you're our permanent cross-over game. What do you guys think of that? I know that 99% of Penn State fans are practically having an orgasm because of it.
I thought you guys were going to win the conference until Wisconsin got Russell Wilson. Still, I think the Big 10 title will be a Wisky/Nebraska rematch. I think I'll have to swallow some vomit and root for Wisky in that game. ;)
Bubba Starling sighting...in a Husker jersey. He is wearing #16...something tells me little sister may have defeated the evil empire known as Bora$$...although that sucks for my Royals. They'll get one helluva comp pick though...
Oh trust me I'm not in either case. Maybe the #16 is supposed to be some message from the two-sport phenom Bo Jackson that Bubba can and indeed do both.
Hell, who am I kidding...Bora$$ will win because he will take David Glass to the cleaners for $10 mil plus when all said and done.
And Bubba Starling is a Royal, going with KC for a $7.5 million signing bonus spread out over 3 years.
Fans can vote for the Nebraska-Iowa trophy exchange between the student bodies. I don't think this is the 'official' game trophy, but I'm not sure on that.
I'm not a fan of forced rivalries and trophies. The old trophies based upon stolen bells, water jugs, etc. have history and meaning. Sponsored or manufactured trophies, not so much.
My friends went to vegas to watch the opening Big 10 game for Nebraska !!!! which they got pounded in of course!!!! :( still wish i could have been with them

Sorry to hear that. He was not having a great season but he was a solid player.
.... so Minnesota is calling themselves an FCS school? :dunno: :DQuote:
Minnesota fans already comparing Neb/Minny to Appy State/Michigan 2007
No upset next week, Nebraska will just run over Minn.
Rumor has it that Tennessee defensive backs coach Terry Joseph will join the Nebraska staff under Bo Pelini. Sounds like he's a great recruiter too.
