Really nice PSN flash sale going on.

I picked up Arkham Knight for $12, Mad Max for $16, Walking Dead - Michonne for $6, and Walking Dead Season 2 for $7.50.
Ended up picking up the entire collection of Crusader Kings 2. 66% to 75% off almost everything in the Steam Summer Sale.
My brother loved Mad Max. Sounds like a fun game but I've never liked the Mad Max movies so my interest isn't there.
Hmm. Thanks guys!
Amazon is doing another Prime Day this year, set for July 12th, along with a full week of sales starting July 5th. Last year, for example, they had Xbox Ones on sale for 30% off, so it may be worth to keep on eye for consoles or games.

Very true, I remember bitching about it last year, but from the sounds of it, Amazon plans to make this a yearly thing, so hey, it's a sale, fuck it, it's at least worth watching to see if maybe they do a couple decent deals on games or something.

Week 2 of the mid-year sale for PSN is up, and God Of War III Remastered is only $7.99.

SOMA is also $11.99, been wanting to play that one.
Not quite game-related, but they snuck out an early deal today: 32" tv + Amazon TV Fire Stick for $120, I believe. The TV was only 720p and not a recognizable brand-name, but if someone really needed a spare/new TV, it was a nice deal IMO. Otherwise, yes - I'm expected this year's deals to be terrible like last year but am holding out hope there will be something decent.
That 32" TV + Fire Stick for $120 deal is good for another few hours. Here's the link if anyone is interested.
PSN & XBL 12 mo memberships are $40. It is on ebay so they will run out fast.

Here are the video game deals for Prime Day tomorrow.

Not bad if you are in the market for new headphones or a keyboard.
Nothing mind blowing for video game deals. A couple of nice movie deals. The Fire TV Stick is cheap. If you already have an Amazon Echo, you can save $10 on your order of $20 or more today too. With that said, I haven't bought a single thing today.
Deals have been lame. I was keeping an eye on The Night Before on bluray. Thinking it would be $7 or 8, no $11.99. It was $12.99 yesterday :fp: It's like they think people don't have things in their wishlist and know what the prices are recently. Well I guess most people are suckers and don't know better.
Battleborn is coming up at the end of the hour. If it is $20 I'll get it.
Kind of sucks since I paid $50 for this at the beginning of the summer and my kid, who begged for it, hasn't even played that much.
My question doesn't pertain to just PS4 or XBOX1, it's for both so I figured this might be the best place for it.
I'm old school and like the disk version of the games, once I get tired of them I like the option of trading them in towards credit for future games.
My question is for digital games, do they install 100% on your HD or is it just a footprint or key file? I ask b/c, what happens if you have a digital copy and the PSN or Xbox Live is under maintenance or goes down like they sometimes do. If you have a digital copy of the game does that mean you're out of luck if the network goes down?
Currently it seems like if the network goes down I can still play my physical copy offline. Is this issue with an Online/download version?
It's on the HHD. You can play any offline gameplay (like single-player) if the network goes down.
My trouble with digital downloads is that if the next system doesn't allow for backwards compatibility, any game you bought is effectively tied to that old system forever and you have to keep the system to keep the games. You can't tell GameStop to to give you more money because you have 30 games on the HHD downloaded onto it already.
If you STILL haven't bought the Mass Effect Trilogy, I have thing to say to you. You clearly don't like yourself or life in general.
Forum bots conversation AI is getting pretty advanced and a touch unruly. Now would have been the proper time to quote Orwell's 1984. We are reading posts written by a machine. I offer RAM as a humble sacrifice, my Forum Spider-bot Overlord, for not playing Mass Effect.
