<-- I put this avatar up on several sites with Game Changers. Out of all the sites, TGT was the only one not to have a heart attack about it. It shows you guys are about making a better game than always sticking up for EA. A couple sites threatened to ban me for it, smh.
I will be removing the avatar shortly. Looking for a more appropriate pic right now.

Posting this after ^^^^^ is surreal.
I'd encourage you to consider otherwise. While I'm not by any means the picture of athleticism (especially now), my best (and most fun) years of sports were before grade 3. I started in T-Ball at 5 or 6, and had a 28 point game in basketball at 8. It was those experiences that shaped who I later became and who I am today, partially because (even though I struggled) I continued to play team sports until I graduated high school.
Similar to Snoop's experience, my dad was instrumental in teaching me, both as a coach and as, well, my father. He coached many of my youth teams, and continued to teach me and practice with me as I got older (and his time constraints took him away from coaching our teams). I wouldn't trade those experiences for anything, in hindsight.
I can totally understand not wanting to start him at 3 ... but certainly consider it in the near future.
On the flip side, you give me cooked broccoli and I will eat everything on my plate. You give me raw broccoli on a veggie tray, and I'll hurl. I'm not exaggerating, it actually happened. To this day, I can't explain it.
4000. That is all. ;)
LOL, I'm not a big fan of raw broccoli either. I can muster it down but i'd much prefer that it be cooked!
I take my kids to the ball fields often near our house. My daughter is 3 and knows the basics. The only problem is that she has that women mentality and gets super pissed when she misses a ball. To the point where she looks like she is going to rip my son's head off and he had nothing to do with it. She took one of the chest last night and Mason told her good job T, to which she replied "I don't want to hear it anymore MASON" :D:D:D
This piece of bacon looks like a brontosaurus...or the Loch Ness LOL I coulda sold it on eBay, but it's bacon so I ate it - http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...tt98/bacon.jpg
I guess I just look at my experiences and then I compare to what is happening today. I started Little League when I was 7 or 8 and have played baseball all the way past High School and College. Still play slow pitch softball(in some pretty competitive leagues), starting playing basketball when I was in 6th grade and have played consistently up to this day(it has tailed a little with 2 kids).
My kids can do whatever they want as I'm not going to force them into what I did. But I also see the extremes that it has gone to these days and I still want them to have a childhood. Baseball practices have started earlier and seasons are going later, tournaments upon tournaments. When I played we only had one or two All Star teams, now it seems that every kid is making an All Star team and playing tournaments after the season. I have friends that leave work pick their kids up at daycare or after school care and are off to the Ball Field almost every night, hitting McDonalds to get a quick dinner. To me at the age of 5,6 or 7 that's not what I want for them.
