Mexico draws with Brazil.
The perceived gap between Mexico and Brazil is greater than the gap between Portugal and the US.
It can be done. Getting out of Group G is not impossible.
The @VW #TopPerformance in today’s Brazil-Mexico match came from Guillermo Ochoa. He made 6 svs for Mexico in a draw pic.twitter.com/kS8HguCTqB

U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann says "we still have hope" that Jozy Altidore (hamstring strain) can return.
Boy, I hope so. I'm doubtful, but I hope so.
meh thats like the Bellicheck injury report. he definitely tore something the question is #1 how big/bad is the tear(s) - most likely 4 weeks at best so theoretically he could be ready roughly around the Final. Of course, its highly doubtful we get that far. Moreover, its not like they can replace him on the roster at this point (at least not to my knowledge) so why not hold out hope for some miracle.

What a great game Australia vs. Netherlands! That game kept me on the edge of my seat. Props to the Aussies for punching well above their weight.
Since there's a group of death, what's the group of life? The group of least resistance.
Oh Spain... what has happened to you??? Wow! 2-0 Chile at the start of the 2nd.
This is almost exactly like 2002 France. The French did not score a goal in 3 games and managed only a 0-0 draw before bowing out. Spain had one hell of a run but its over now.
Waiting for Wayne Rooney to score a World Cup goal like.. pic.twitter.com/XSK5Evk7Be

So one can sum up that the ESPN Soccer Index is a POS :D :D
According to ESPN Soccer Power Index, there was 0.75% chance that both England & Spain would lose 1st 2 matches

Cahill looks like a scared alter boy trying to escape the "Sword of the Lord".
I can't help but feel bad for England. To once be such a strong "football" nation and now to clearly be 2nd tier caliber must be agonizing. That's the "life-blood" in merry old England...
Feel bad? England? Yup, a Canadian has entered the thread. Don't feel too bad for England, they still have Cricket, which also happens to be their National Sport. Of course, they lost the Ashes this year which gave Australia the lead in the series. They do sip a mean cup of tea over there. ;)
Let's see how wrong this will be :D

France with their 100th and 101st goals in #WorldCup history. Only Brazil, Germany, Argentina and Italy have more. #SUIvsFRA

LOL the "problem" with computer ratings for soccer is the games can swing WILDLY and are subject to more volatility/variance than say basketball or football.
Moreover, a win when the probability was basically a 45/55 proposition (factoring out the tie) isn't that great of an upset.
The Chelsea player was Ivanovich and it was 2 seasons ago. Suarez also bit a player when he was playing for Ajax. He's just a dickbag. The racism charges and refusing to shake Evra's hand in his first match back from suspension don't really irritate me much. When you put it all together, he is an ass.
I have to say that I love watching the World Cup and pretty much always have. My favourite year is probably 1990 when West Germany beat Argentina but this year is easily moving up my board to #1. Every match has been so exciting. Plus seeing all the goals have been a real surprise. For all the negatives, the Brazilians are putting on a good show.
Argentina looked AWFUL today no movement whatsoever which makes loading up on D real easy.
that W versus Ghana is looking good now the way they are playing Germany even up. I'd prefer a German win (as its the best result for the US) but Ghana has played really well.
We MUST WIN today. I got a BAD feeling if we draw today we will not advance to the knock out round.

Maybe it's just me but "kit" wise, the Russians look like they are wearing US style jerseys while the Americans, especially last game look like their unis are straight out of Russia.
