Going to Pre order Beyond: Two Souls and I might pick up the Flower games (can't recall the other titles from the same team that made this) I do hope to pick up the Hot Shots Vita golf game they just released on PSN for the PS3.

Anyone familiar with error code 80029564? I have two games that will not let me install the updates Uncharted 3 and NCAA 14. Ironically NCAA started out as another code (timeout error) and then turned into this. Both crash at 14% everytime now and I am started to get a little agitated having spent 6 freaking hours doing mostly install and repeating the two above. I was using wireless which appears to be some issue with Sony but I even tried wired and no change.

I still believe that because of some server issues you are downloading corrupted files. I just did some research around and it points out this way. Did you do port forwarding on your router? ?t might help.
Sometimes what happeens is when the server is really busy you download a file. You see that the full size is downloaded but it doesnt install because the download was corrupted. probably this is happening to you now.
Try again tomorrow. Download and install. Delete the broken downloads from your PS3.
I have tried everything, port openings, went through tech support, etc. Nothing works and it might just be best to wait a day or so and see if it happens again. I would consider another router but my other wireless toys are just fine.Quote:

If you're trying to get the update for Uncharted 3, make sure there are no files for Uncharted 3 in that folder. After that, then Rebuild Database and try again.
If you've already tried that, then waiting a few days is probably your only option. Never heard of rebuilding the database not fixing that problem before.
Everything NCAA 14 and UC 3 related are deleted each time. We rebuilt the database and something else from that menu, nada, squat.Quote:

It was the thing I hated when I owned my previous two PS3's but that was just the large ass install files for game updates and having to download and install things. I never had any of these error messages before.
Vita is the exact same way with downloading and installing. I'd say it's 50/50 with whether or not it's that way for PS4.Quote:

Ouch GT5 just hit 3 years old...I would have imagined it would still have an active online for the kinda crowd that plays that game.

PlayStation will soon enter the HBO Go family, with apps for the service coming to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Home Box Office CEO Richard Plepler announced the news at the first Buzzfeed Brews event in New York.
With the app, HBO cable subscribers can enjoy unlimited on-demand content. According to a post on the official PlayStation Blog, the app is "coming soon" and will arrive first on PS3 before eventually making its way to the PlayStation 4. A timetable was not shared, but the announcement made mention of the impending fourth season of Game of Thrones, which will begin in April.
The Xbox 360 is currently the only video game console with HBO Go access, featuring special second-screen content alongside select videos.

Anyone get stuck at 99% while installing a system update? My 500gb gets a good bit of use with no issues etc. Went to update the 320gb and boom I can't even boot to safe mode..............just a quick search and this looks bad :fp:
