thats just horrible,minimalist bizarreness
What a ridiculous article. Comparing Pelini to Bowden or Osborne? Players have to have the self-control to take verbal lashings from coaches, but respect isn't given because of the position, it's earned by the man. I'm sure this wasn't the first time a player responded to Pelini, and I'm sure it won't be the last. Hell, I've seen sometimes when a coach wants a player to react with fire.

saw an early screening of this documentary at a CFN - Californians for Nebraska event near San Diego California at a Nebraska watch site called OC Tavern

shoe string budget with five people involved in making it and it was actually pretty good and it will be screening at a couple theatres in Nebraska in about 3 weeks I think. Search online to get a DVD copy now !

as it turns out, a very good friend of mine sold a ticket to one of the producers to a Nebraska game somewhere in the last 2 years so they could attend as part of the film making process ...at least i'm pretty sure about that

I just came across this story/video on the Fox Sports website. Some funny shit. :D
Loved the looks on the other players faces, that universal "FUCK! We're gonna be running all practice now" look and the "you are so dead dumbass" look. Reminds me of my playing days. :D

He said that 2 years ago. I admit that it was dumb saying it but that was TWO YEARS AGO. If somebody came at me trying to check me about something I said 2 years ago, I'd tell them that they're an idiot.
I think it is extremely shady that someone waited until now to release it, but I don't believe in the Scooby-Doo defense. "I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those meddlesome kids that damn tape!"
It wouldn't be so bad if he was 'only' cussing out the fans who left or booed, but he basically insulted every NU fan and implied he is just trying to do well enough to get the hell out of here. For the most part, he made this mess and now he has to deal with it. I like Pelini, but this type of behavior is unacceptable. However, I'm not sure there is an easy answer. If the team flames out or bombs late in the year, I think the new AD will have no choice but to look for a new coach but I don't think that is even an option right now - you have to let the season play out.
Dude told Tommy Frazier he was not needed because he dared to comment on the porous defensive play and the need for new defensive coaches. You know what, FU Pelini. Most coaches try to surround their teams with winners and Tommy Frazier is just that. I am a diehard Sooner and Tommy is still the greatest College Quarterback player of all-time.
Yep. Honestly, I don't even care that she even said what she said but I don't care what people said years ago. People grow, people change. At one point, I was against same-sex marriages based on my religious upbringing. Now, I'm all for it because not everyone believes what I believe and this is the United States of America, not the United States of Christianity. Other people's wants and desires to be together have nothing to do with me or mine so let same sex couples get married. Didn't mean to get political. It's just that this was said 2 years ago, not last Saturday. It shouldn't be a big deal.
This is an AWESOME concept, Bill. I'm going to start quoting myself from years past as much as possible and not have to worry about repercussions. Fuck yeah!
I'm using Tapatalk 2 and the Cleveland Browns STILL suck.
the quote is 2 years ago but he's been a sub par Nebraska coach from then till now.
Their so called post season/bowl games have been crappy and they've lost them under him.
the Pac 10 has owned his ass...USC Washington, UCLA

he doesn't play to the teams strengths..he needs to run more and they freak out and start calling too many pass plays when things look bad
well...something is up...Nebraska..the athletic Dept is looking to hire a new director of player personnel and director of recruiting.
and no recruits are visiting for the home coming game. Is something going to go down, especially with Bo Pelini ?
I was watching ESPN U and they said that Nebraska long term is in trouble because of cable TV. They don't have the exposure other programs do or the local talent. They need to recruit nationally and the new TV age has made that harder.
Makes sense.
(I mean no offense to the Nebraska heads for anything I'm about to say).
Let's say you were a 5* recruit and you could go anywhere in the country. How many people would choose to live in Nebraska over living in A state like Cali or Texas, or Florida where the weather is good year round or going to Oregon where you can get all the Nike gear you could ever dream of, or playing in the SEC where the biggest games are bigger then everyone else's biggest games. I'm not saying Nebraska doesn't have plenty to offer (I'm sure there's some nice corn-fed co-eds there and I know the facilities are pretty sweet), but Nebraska has it's fair share of disadvantages that weren't as obvious as during the golden area.
I wonder if recruiting in the Big 10 has made it harder to get the Texas recruits since they aren't in the B12 anymore?
I would think so. There are way less Big Ten games on tv down here than Big XII games. Nebraska was on pretty much every weekend when they were in the Big XII now they are barely on down here, because they are replaced by more regional games.
