Shotgun Wing Offset in the Auburn Playbook has a series of WR motion plays. Are there any plays in this series that actually hand the ball off to the motioning WR or use him as a pitch man on an option play? I'm just wondering what the motion accomplishes there, since I didn't see any plays in any of the videos that actually used the motion as anything other than misdirection.

Thanks for posting the offensive formations Foley. Thats a lot of formations to choose from.
No prob I was writing them down anyways to get an idea of what I want to put in my offense and decieded to post them to help people doing the same and maybe it would help these guys posting the info with one less thing they may have been asked about.Quote:

Can anyone tell me what the difference between I Formation H Pro, and I Formation Normal is? (same thing with I H Twins, I Twins, etc.)? I saw the custom playbooks video, and when he went through them, there didn't appear to be any difference. Unless my eyes are shot.
Also, big thanks, Foley! I tried to do that myself but gave up not even a tenth of the way in!
I may be mistaken but I think the "H" formations the FB is in a 2 point stance like the HB but I may mistaken so don't chop my head off if I'm wrong.Quote:

Can you show the Defensive Playbook Creator for a Multiple type? I'm curious to see if you can implement the 4-4 and the 46 Normal together.

There may be some formations that are exclusive to certain playbooks or play styles, or maybe that the Wildcats have been combined in the custom playbook, I am not sure which and wont until game is released or one of the guys here who have the game dive into this a little further.Quote:

From what I can see, there's nothing to indicate which plays are linked in custom playbooks, and in formations with a lot of plays (Ace Normal, for example) it's going to be a b*tch to find and match up those plays (except in cases where the play names give it away) ... :(
Yeah you might not know which plays are linked unless you take the time to really know it but they can still work. Like say you picked the play that's PA Pass just because you want to run that play. You run it and throw for a first down. A couple of plays later, maybe next QTR on the next drive you do it again, this time it goes for 40 yard gain. Now when you go back to that formation you notice a certain run is 100% set up. You might not have known that play was linked but you notice it's set up so you choose it and run it. Would either of you mind checking in Flexbone Trips Left and Trips Right and Seeing if they added the Bubble Screen to them? I know one of the Slot sets has it. just curious if it made it to the trips sets, would allow me to create a Slide Variation that is lacking in the Flexbone run and shoot plays.

You guys (All of the guys with the game early) have been doing a great job of giving us all the info we have asked for.
Can one of you guys do a quick Wildcat walkthrough? It would be pretty nice to see all the different wildcat sets (or plays).
Judging by the number of plays available in the custom playbooks video, all the Wildcat plays (5 runs, 3 passes) and Wildcat Spread plays (5 runs, 4 passes) are available in the demo, and I'm 99% sure the same plays were in NCAA 11.Quote:

I might have mixed up the play art for twin te and twin te slot. I am able to motion guys around from any of these formations to get into one another and im trying to figure out if any of the ace formations you listed can allow me some extra "moves" if that makes any sense.

You can't use Custom Playbooks while super simming. So for those of us running a "coaching" dynasty and paying the $2 to call a game online while not working, it's still a mighty important detail to know which playbooks will match our custoom playbooks as closely as possible, and what deficiencies we'll have to be aware of. :)Quote:

No. It shows the team's default style so if you use Navy, you'll see Option but then after that, they go in and select their playbook which could be Air Raid. After that, the READY pop-up covers the style & team ratings.Quote:

Yeah, as with any rule in an OD, it's important to be reasonable and use common sense. If a guy forgets to update the custom playbook thread when he adds some plays with Ace Slot Flex when he already has Ace Big and Ace Big Twins in his book, it shouldn't be a big deal that causes anyone to get their panties in a wad. But, if a guy has worked up an air raid book and then in the game he comes out with a shitload of Wishbone that was not disclosed beforehand, that's the b.s. you're trying to avoid.Quote:

and... will show on the defensive side who is using a well built system instead of finding a couple of good lock down blitzes that can cause havok and running them the entire length of the dynasty...

You may know everything they've run in the past, however, teams are always adding/creating plays now and then for a certain team, to take advantage of issues with that team's defense. Or a team will never use a certain formation for half the season, then bring it out for a big game against their rival or something to throw them off a bit and bring out something that they didn't prepare for during practice. I think the thing I wouldn't agree with is forcing people to list every single formation in their playbook, as at that point, you may as well force them to list their entire playbook, play for play. You're not going to go up to another team in real life the week you play them and say "I'd like to have a list of every single formation in your playbook". Maybe listing the base formations, but not every single one.Quote:

What's funny is that a "disclose all your formations" is actually something we already have in '11. When I play an online ranked game and a guy uses a common book like Mississippi State, I know that book like the back of my hand, and so I know all the formations AND all the plays for each formation. Does that mean I have some kind of an unfair advantage? What I'm proposing with custom playbooks is actually LESS disclosure than when you learn the playbook a guy is using in NCAA 11.
