It was meh to me. Played for about an hour and a half and thought it was okay. The defender guns are much better(AK74U and M) compared to the attacker guns.(M16,M4) I will wait until COD comes out for my shooter.

Well, after having to update some video card drivers (it's been a while since I updated), got EA's stupid proprietary shit installed (not only is it a downloader, but a fuckin' plugin for the server shit too :fp:), downloaded the beta, and all of that, I'm finally ready to start playing. HOPEFULLY, it's at least decent, otherwise, I'm pirating the shit out of this game for the singleplayer stuff and moving on to something else.
(sigh)
It's forcing me to use the fuckin' beta drivers. How bullshit is that? Fuck you EA. I refuse to use Beta drivers that could potentially fuck shit up just to play your fuckin' beta game. God damn it EA, why do you have to be so fuckin' ***?
So yeah, I'm definitely NOT getting this game now. This shit is gonna be pirated like a motherfucker. Fuck you EA. Eat a dick.
I personally am a fan of the m4

No need in voicing myself opinion on rush see previous post but just like u I am curious on other modes unlike u I enjoyed the hell out of bc2. A being how much I hate modern warfare this is my only choice. I don't think I am going to enjoy this game though adding prone has done nothing but created a monster that frankly I don't have the time to deal with.

Aren't you getting it on PC, though? I think the PC version is going to actually be good since you have the jets and so many more players. BF3 feels like BC2.5 to me, which just isn't good enough. I hate gaming on PC so that's not an option for me.
The running and stuff takes some getting used to, I hate the glitch where you stop sprinting. The shooting gets easier once you have sight, overall I like it so far. I'm sure I'll enjoy it even more not playing rush and with vehicles. I think they messed up doing rush and this map...
The problem is Rush and TDM are the two most played game types for BF2:BC so I'm sure they did it that way since Rush is their one game mode that's different from pretty much all over FPSs. Personally, I fuckin' hate Rush and TDM. I'd rather play Capture The Flag or Domination than anything else. At least they take skill to win, instead of just camping in the same fuckin' spot over and over again while covering all the different directions that you can possible go to get to that spot.
I'll possibly play rush with a group of peope, but just playing with a bunch of randoms sucks.
I have just found it much easier to win gun battles with the AK74U. It seems like the M4 takes way more bulletts to kill someone. Also, is there a way to take the scopes off the gun after you earn them? I absolutely hate the ACOG on the M16 when I am using it and cannot figure out how to take it off.
Got the beta downloaded on both systems last night....is there an additional install once you launch?
Not on PS3. Also, not sure if it is just a Beta issue, but I would get kicked out of my squad everytime it went into a game.
Starting to really like this, full game can only be much better. I like it a lot more compared to MW and all the perks and bs.
would I be able to use a xbox 360 controller on the pc game.I have a adapter plug in that connects a 360 controller to pc for gaming.Would bf3 and mw3 be capable??
36-5 Oh YEA!!!
Yeah, 17-10 is the best I've been able to do. I've gotten close once or twice, but that's it. Everything else is down around .500.
Get an assault rifle or LMG, lay down in the grass, and do NOT move. You wont be going 5-36 for long.
The game I went 36-5 I started off with a sniper rifle up on the hill above B. I threw a grenade at the wall at A so I could see people trying to lay down and arm the explosive Moving my sights back and forth from A to B I just patrolled lol. I tagged about 4 in a row running down the hill to B with one shot kills. Then once we moved to the subway system I moved to Assault and was just gunning guys with flashlights down.
Once they got to the point where you arm explosives upstairs in the subway I switched back to my sniper rifle and was shooting through the booth and on the move. I love playing a sniper in Battlefield, it takes me back to my Delta Force (PC Game) days. COD the sniper doesn't get a lot of love, the maps are too small also.
So can some lay out the controls for PC.I figured out how to move my guy but not very since I am using a key board and won't be able to use controller until the full game comes out.Too bad we couldn't change the key's unless I am missing something. It is really fun so far.Just not use to the keyboard movement.
So yes, jets are in the console version. They are going to allow them to fly out of bounds to be able to maneuver properly. PS3 maps will be scaled down compared to PC because it's 24 players compared to 64. The planes will be able to use the whole map though...hope this helps.Quote:
Battlefield 3 fans have been made aware that there will be significant differences between the PC and console versions of the shooter upon release. One of the major points that DICE has made at tradeshows of late, is that the PC version of the game will host 64 players, while the console version of the game will host 24. With the console version of the game only hosting 24 players DICE announced at C2E2 in Chicago, that there will be boundaries placed on players in the console version of the game.
This is familiar territory for Battlefield Bad Company players that played on Xbox 360 and PS3. The maps themselves will be scaled down on consoles with the out of bounds zones surrounding the maps. As for planes? Planes will have a much larger airspace to fly around in compared to the players on the ground. Other news that came out of the Chicago showing, was that a PS3 build of the game was shown at the show, and the attendees were impressed by the graphics on the PS3 version.
DICE admitted to show goers that consoles may be a bit dated, but that new technology was being used to achieve the result at or near what we have been seeing in the initial trailers for the game. A system of streaming and pipelines to compress the information from the game, pumping it through the console and uncompressing it as it converted to the output seen on the television monitors. They said that because of this console versions are going to be equally as impressive as the PC versions, which have already been said to be the lead platform for development.
