And what is wrong with that? Seriously ... why is more options a bad thing?
I guess it's the same reason Baskin-Robbins has 31 flavors and not 3100 flavors. Eventually, you're so bogged down with "more" that it becomes overkill. Like I said, it already feels like we have a ton of sliders and now we want sliders more? When will enough be enough? It appears that some people don't get to play the game for 3 weeks as it is because their spending all their time tweaking sliders.
We have ... what ... 15? I bet that's not even half what NHL, the old MVP series, or other top-level sports titles have.
Your opinion is your opinion, of course, but I think you'd be among the minority (at least of the community members, not counting casual fans) that would say we have a "ton".
I used to be in this same boat, but I've slowly started to love having more options. The NHL series has a ton of sliders, and I wouldn't want it any other way. I can sit there fine tuning various parts and bits and pieces of the game and micro-fixing any and every tiny little thing I come across, essentially making the game play perfectly just the way I want it.
It's the same for me with NCAA. I may want to make some changes in the passing game, but as it is now, any changes I make affect the entire passing game, whereas I might only want to change something specific, but leave everything else alone.
Well, enjoy your sliders guys.
If you don't want to mess with sliders then don't mess with them. I love to adjust them and I've also learned not to tweak like crazy either. I haven't touched a slider in at least 25 games. Once I get something I feel good about I tend to leave it and just play. Trying to get the game to play perfect is impossible. Just try to get it to play as best as it can within the limits of the game and have fun.
And Jeff is absolutely right about the number of sliders. Hockey, basketball and baseball games all have more despite the fact that a football game has the most difficult AI to program.
sorry but in my humble unimportant opinion, the more sliders we have the more control we have the better game we can create to fit our dynasty groups, and using these sliders and posting them publicly allows dev's to see what were changing from a "sim/realism" standpoint, and since dynasty is becoming the lifeline of this series, i feel that they will be paying much more attention to it rather than "play now"
"E"
I really hope that this year they put the sliders on ROIDS. If I put a slider to 100 it should be the complete opposite of zero. One of the problems with certain editions to this game is that sliders are often far, far to watered down.
I'm guessing the finals are going to be Coaching Carousel vs. Special Teams Overhaul. S.T.O. was a #2 seed so having it probably make the finals isn't that "big" but I'm surprised about how much momentum it gained throughout the tournament.
Also, is there a bracket for the second chance tournament? I can't find it.
Here you go, up-to-date.

I think it's more a reflection of the audience at TGT more than anything else. We're a much more gameplay minded audience than some of the other community sites.
I think it also drew a very tough matchup for the Elite 8. If it was going against any of the other three lower seeds (Depth Chart, Offensive Playbooks, CPU Playcalling), I would think it would have a much easier time getting to the next round.
Time for the 2nd chance bracket to advance?
CDJ et al.,
I noticed you mention that the Tiburon developers may be frequenting the site to see our posts/winners/losers, etc. However, are these ideas that we are voting more than likely to some sort of influence on say NCAA 13 rather than NCAA 12? (assuming we have any influence whatsoever) I guess what I am really getting at is how far into the cycle are the developers now with 200 days (est.) until the release of the next game and what is the likelyhood of anything WE say actually transfering into the game for NCAA 12? It would be awesome if the Tiburon developers would post on this site (I think they would find it far, far, far less negative/venemous than other sites... cough, cough... O.S. cough...
Jaymo, from the news post about the Tournament ... from Ben:
"Now that we are heavy into the development of NCAA Football 12 I want to encourage all of you to keep voting for which feature you want to see more in each matchup of this year’s tournament. We look forward to seeing what new features make the list this year based on the additions in NCAA Football 11, and which feature comes out on top. While there’s no guarantee that the feature that takes home the title will make it into NCAA Football 12, I will guarantee you that each of these features are discussed in great detail when we are deciding what ultimately makes it into the game."
2nd Chance polls for the Elite 8 round now up.
