FYI, for anyone that hasn't gotten XCOM: Enemy Unknown yet, it's $24.99 on Amazon right now and, I don't know about anyone else, but the $5 credit for 2k games worked for it as well (even though I already used it). So, if you have that, it's only $19.99.
is it a steam code or amazon? It looks like an amazon download, wonder if steam will match sometimes they do.
Edit: Nevermind its steam. Damn let me get my first cup of coffee/tea or something.
JB has got me re-interested in L4D2 since he's going to buy it. How many others have it? If you don't have it, both 1 & 2 are on sale for $7.50 for the next 4 hours.
If you have it, I'd love to get some games in. I've put in literally 792 hours in L4D2 so I'm always up for a game of it.
If you don't have it, it's well worth the purchase price. 4v4 versus is fun and also there's a huge mod community out there making free maps that many rival the Valve created maps (l4dmaps.com).
Now that we're getting more PC guys, I'd love to organize a night to play together. That and I'm sure I could get some other guys I used to play with to jump in.
I'm there! Let's do this!
Hell yeah. I'm in. If not tomorrow, when I'm back in town.
Does Forge still suck?
They are slowly fixing it (slowly being the main choice word) but, right now, the biggest thing is people are having issues joining games with their friends. I haven't touched it and probably won't. I refuse to support "Beta" multiplayer games on Steam. I wish I would have known that Chivalry: Medieval Warfare was in beta because I wouldn't have bought it all so long ago because that game is complete horse shit now with developers that don't do shit to fix issues.
I have 20 gigs of RAM now. HOLY...FUCKIN'...SHIT...
Beatn, how is Ravaged? Worth $3.39?
It's kind of rough around the edges, but if you like shooters with an emphasis on vehicles, you'd probably like it. I got it for free, though. I probably wouldn't have bought it for any $ amount simply because it's an online only shooter and I suck with the mouse. :D
EDIT: Just saw there's a free weekend for it on Steam, so you can try it out and see if you like it.
Anyone want a Steam coupon code for 85% off Serious Sam 3 BFE?
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare 50% for $12.49 on Green Man Gaming today.
Good game? Looks sweet.
It's FRUSTRATING. Do you have a REALLY good internet connection? If so, you'll probably like it. It's basically COD:MW but Medieval. If you have even a little bit of lag (like ping of 100), it's pretty damn frustrating to watch guys teleport around or just move faster than it seems like you are.
That said, you buy it and I'll play some with ya! ;)
Awesome. Let me know if you wanna play some. Sadly, it's damn frustrating to try to be on the same team because the game has ZERO party setup.
Did some DLC buying last night. Have all the DLC for Tropico 4. Bought the Legacy of Rome expansion for Crusader Kings II to get the improvements and additions that it brings. I'm skipping the Sunset Invasion expansion for now, as I don't feel like having everything I've built and worked towards suddenly destroyed with an invasion of massive fucking armies of Aztecs (and the diseases they carry ravaging my lands) during random point in the mid-to-late period of my game. But for now, I'll pass on the Aztec hoards.
Looking at it, it actually looks like a brand new expansion just was released in the last couple hours. The Republic DLC, adding 5 Merchant Republics that you can play the game as, giving you a different viewpoint as you try to lead a Republic and build your Mercantile Empire. I'll pass on it for the moment, as I would rather stick with trying to become King of England from my Irish roots, but I may get that down the road.
I'm gonna try to work more PC gaming in between games of my NCAA dynasty. There are often many times where I just don't have the time to play another dynasty game, or it's too late at night to consider starting an entire new game, so I end up sitting there watching TV or something. I'm gonna try to spend some of that free, non-NCAA time getting back into my PC games, that have unfortunately been completely neglected since September or October.
Picked up a couple more cheap games today in 10,000,000 ($3.99) and Sanctum ($2.49).
I think we should have a Left 4 Dead night tonight?
