Sexy!
Just saw a headline that the PS4 Camera almost made it into the $399 bundle.
Yeah, because the 50+ posts I've made about how retarded Kinect and Move are would naturally make you believe I think Kinect/motion control is a good idea. :fp:
The only good thing I've ever said about either one of them is that it's smart for Microsoft to bundle it, otherwise it's going to end up exactly like Move and the PS4's camera is going to end up - dead on arrival.
As I've said numerous times, motion control is a gimmick, it's ruining gaming, and the sooner it's killed off, the better off gaming will be.
Yeah lots of people are really amped about MS selling their private info and/or giving it the Feds. Then again compared to its other decisions, 180s, 360s, 720s, etc... the decision to act as Big Brother I suppose could be interpreted as the "smartest" decision they have made and stuck with to date with the launch of XB1.
I have no idea how that relates to anything I said, but okay.
35 days....
It is ruining gaming. Killzone 3, Resistance 3, and SOCOM 4 were absolutely horrific because they forced motion control implementation into the game, which made the aiming extremely easy (a ton of aim assist to assist with the motion control). Those are just 3 examples off the top of my head of established franchises that were ruined because of forcing in motion control.
I can understand the Wii thing for parties and fitness, sure, but keep that shit in those games. There's no need to implement motion control into established franchises that are geared towards the hardcore in the first place.
Read an article where it sounds like the only headset to work with the PS4 at launch will be the one it comes with. USB and Bluetooth headset support after launch. That seems really odd though, so not sure if it is true or not.
Existing Headsets Won't Work With PS4 at Launch
But a patch will fix that later.

New Photos Show How to Replace the PS4 Hard Drive
At E3, Sony confirmed that the PlayStation 4 would allow owners to remove and upgrade the built-in hard drive, and now, we know how. PC enthusiast website Computer Bild has posted detailed photos of the PS4's removable housing and HDD tray. According to the post, the hard drive is housed underneath the glossy exterior panel on top of the device and can be removed via torx screwdriver. Like the PS3, the system uses a 2.5" laptop hard drive, which should enable users to upgrade the system with a solid state drive, provided they're willing to go through the trouble and incur the expense.
Wow guess I'll just go ahead and order a 1TB HDD now although I might wait to make sure I get all the right specs
I might just wait.
Sent from my DROID RAZR Maxx since I'm too lazy to get to the CPU using Tapatalk 4
With Driveclub delayed, the PS4 will come with Contrast.
Yeah I don't mind waiting on the backup/restore process if I do upgrade the HDD.

On the bright side, looking at the launch day list, Need For Speed is supposed to be a launch title, so we can still get our next gen racing on.
Gran Turismo 6 is also coming out soon. Probably the last new PS3 game I will get.
Any of you "tech" guys know if the RPMs matter? I know for PS3 I just matched what was inside my system but I've seen people say it doesn't matter and to just go ahead and buy whatever hdd size you want as long as it is 2.5".
It's doesn't matter that significantly IMO, at least not for a PS3. For a server it matters and for PC gaming you might notice some difference, but I imagine for consoles the difference is minimal.
Yeah considering your troubles I might just wait and open it up to make sure I get everything right. I had ZERO issues which stunned me but I opened it up and literally searched for the exact same brand and found the exact HDD in the PS3 only with different space sizes and chose the 1TB.
I also just had a thought that I could theoretically just take the 500 GB out of the PS4 pop it into the PS3 and switch my old PS3 1 TB HDD over to PS4. Of course I'd have to transfer all the files to the new bland HDD but I presume it wouldn't be all that difficult.
